Abstract: An embroidering tool comprising a barrel serving as an outer shell with a slot having notches for receiving a pin located on the outer surface of a shaft inserted into the bore. An interchangeable tip having a cannular needle pressed therein is inserted into an axial bore within the shaft and locked therein. The shaft is then assembled with a spring and inserted into the bore of the barrel with the pin moved along the slot until it is engaged within the proper slot setting. The invention provides an embroidery tool in which the mechanism for adjusting the exposed length of the needle is extremely durable, simple, easy to manipulate, and rapid and consistently precise.
