    Abstract: A stainless steel 316 hose with buoyancy counterweights is demonstrated that is heavy enough to sink even when full of air that would normally have sunk without having to use concrete mats or other anchoring means. The buoyancy counterweights can be steel pipe segments that the hose is run through and welded to or spurious flanges that are welded to the hose at discrete increments.
