Publication number: 20150219723Abstract: A battery monitoring system includes a central monitoring system and a set of individual battery selectors. The central monitoring system is electrically connected to the battery selectors and each of the battery selectors is connected to one or more batteries. In operation, commands are sent from the central monitoring system to the individual battery selectors so as to turn one on at a time. When the battery selector is on, test and response signals can be communicated between the one or more batteries connected to the battery selector and the central monitoring system. In some embodiments, the batteries include a reference circuit configured for calibration of battery tests.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 25, 2014Publication date: August 6, 2015Inventors: Donald H. Marvin, Oswaldo Torres, James W. Welch, Jr., Derek Ziemian, Kurt Salloux

Publication number: 20130121797Abstract: A trailer includes a coupling to attach the trailer to a tractor, and a frame attached to the coupling. The frame is positionable as a single unit about a container such that the frame can be attached to the container in four regions of the container to lift the container. The trailer has road wheels for long-haul transportation over road systems. The trailer frame can be positioned about the container by laterally expanding and retracting, pivoting about a horizontal axis, and pivoting about a vertical axis.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 7, 2012Publication date: May 16, 2013Inventor: James W. Welch

Patent number: 8032277Abstract: A method for logging and reporting driver activity and vehicle operation includes identifying a driver of a vehicle, recording operating data with an on-board recorder that is hard-wired to an engine control module, coupled to a mileage sensing system, and linked to a global navigation satellite system, and recording duty status of the driver. An hours of service log and a fuel tax log are created from the operating data. The method includes comparing the driver's hours of service log to an applicable requirement, indicating to the driver whether the driver is in-compliance or out-of-compliance with the applicable requirement, automatically uploading the logs to a receiver external to the vehicle using a wireless telecommunications network, and emitting a compliance signal representative of whether the driver is in-compliance or out-of-compliance with the applicable requirement to a second receiver external to the vehicle and under control of authorities.Type: GrantFiled: February 1, 2011Date of Patent: October 4, 2011Assignee: Innovative Global Systems, LLCInventors: Bradley R. Publication number: 20020169002Abstract: A secure wireless printing system and method for printing data from a wireless device at a selected printing assembly while providing accountability and generating revenues from such usage. The printing assembly includes an intermediate device for receiving and processing data submitted by the wireless device. The intermediate device is connected to a printer and a validation device to ensure that the print job printed at the respective printer is received by the correct wireless device user. A print driver on the wireless device converts the print data to a universal format, negotiates the available printers; and submits a secure ID to identify the account to which the print job belongs. The intermediate device then converts the print data to a printer readable format and sends the data to the printer to be printed.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 1, 2002Publication date: November 14, 2002Inventors: Alyce M.
