  • Patent number: 11520461
Abstract: A contribution management system and process for facilitating the identification of individual users who have made contributions to an electronic content item, and the extent of that contribution. As an example, a reader may review the list of contributors with a representation of their relative degree or amount of contribution to the document, and also allow for access to other documents that have been developed by the identified contributor. These tools can provide collaborative document users the ability to more clearly distinguish casual contributors or non-contributing owners of the document from higher-level contributors whose authorship has significantly shaped the content. In addition, the listing or identification of top contributors can be configured to facilitate communication between an interested reader and the identified contributor, which increases the ease with which members of larger organizations can collaborate, seek mentorship, or develop useful relationships.

  • Patent number: 10614404
Abstract: Systems and methods for providing productivity insights regarding user networks are provided. Productivity insights are determinable based on event data, such as email messaging events and/or calendaring events, and enable a user to see at a glance how and with whom the user has spent his or her time. Additionally, productivity insights highlight any changes that occur over time within a user network. Analytics based on event data allow a user to easily identify top collaborators, which may or may not be the most important collaborators, as well as specific metrics for each collaborator, such as response time, email read rate, total collaboration time, etc. Thus, productivity insights serve to qualify and quantify collaborative relationships for individual employees so that they can leverage their time more effectively by improving collaboration within their networks, thereby increasing workplace productivity.

  • Patent number: 9212485
Abstract: An improved modular building panel and system for building construction is disclosed. The improved modular building panel comprises a novel honeycomb or lattice core comprising multiple layers of corrugated, preferably metal, components mechanically connected by any means known in the art, but which may be chemical bonding. External cladding layers comprising a novel cement mix comprising, in a preferred embodiment, Portland cement, silica sand, perlite, glass beads, and water, in combination with the honeycomb structure, provide a lightweight, highly durable, low-cost, projectile resistant, highly insulating, water, mold and mildew resistant, wind resistant novel modular wall system which is adapted for use in commercial, residential, and other construction and which provides superior security to the user. The modular building panel and system of the invention may be utilized for walls, roofs, floors, bridges, or other structures.

  • Publication number: 20050256909
Abstract: A method and system for sharing files between a group of computer systems. The file sharing system allows a group of computer systems to be defined. The files shared by a group are associated with a group folder. A group folder is represented by a folder created by the file system of each member of the group. The folder at each member contains a file for each file that is shared by the group. The files in the folder of a member may be actual files stored at that member, which contains the content of the shared file, or virtual files identifying the actual file that is stored at another member. When a member accesses a virtual file, the file sharing system detects the access and requests that the file owner provide a copy of the file to the accessing member on a peer-to-peer basis. Whenever a shared file is modified, the file owner sends updated metadata for that file to the other members of the group.
