  • Publication number: 20240154435
Abstract: An indexed sequence of bits in a buffer is allocated for tracking a battery charging state. The indexed sequence of bits has a first number of bits. A battery voltage of a rechargeable battery is sampled at a sampling rate. For each sampled battery voltage, the battery voltage is compared with a voltage threshold. A next bit position in the indexed sequence of bits is identified. In accordance with a determination that a comparison result is true, a predefined first value is added to the next bit position. A second number of bits that are filled with the predefined first value is determined. A ratio between the second number and the first number is also determined. In accordance with a determination that the ratio exceeds a threshold step-down ratio, a battery charge voltage is stepped down. The rechargeable battery is charged to a step-down voltage.

  • Patent number: 11975422
Abstract: Embodiments described herein provide for devices and methods for retaining optical devices. The devices and methods described herein provide for retention of the substrate without contacting sensitive portions of the substrate. The devices and methods utilize retention pads or vacuum pins to contact the exclusion zones i.e., inactive areas of the substrate to retain the substrate and prevent the substrate from moving laterally. Additionally, a holding force retains the substrate in the vertical direction, without contacting the substrate. The methods provide for adjusting the devices to account for multiple geometries of the substrate. The methods further provide for adjusting the devices, such as adjusting a gap between the optical device and a suction pad, to alter the holding force of the devices on the optical devices.

Abstract: In a handrail including a carcass, a stretch inhibitor within the carcass, and a sliding layer bonded to the carcass, at least a portion of the carcass has a gas phase dispersed in a solid polymer matrix. The gas phase can reduce a density of the carcass by at least 5% or 10%, or about 15%, as compared to a density of the polymer matrix. The carcass can have a generally uniform distribution of gas bubbles in the polymer matrix, which can define a generally closed cell structure in the polymer matrix. The gas phase can be formed of particles of a syntactic foam dispersed in the polymer matrix. The handrail can further include a cover. The carcass and the cover can be formed of thermoplastic materials, and the cover can represent between 10 and 30% of the overall TPU required for the handrail.

  • Publication number: 20240142574
Abstract: A system and method for distinguishing targets of interest from main lobe clutter and sidelobe clutter includes an ESA or AESA divided into subarrays. A sum beam power profile is produced via one or more scans of the subarrays, and a difference beam power profile is produced via calculations involving the subarrays. A comparison of the sum beam power profile and the difference beam power profile accentuates signal power disparities between targets of interest and clutter. A threshold is then applied to isolate targets of interest. Different difference beam power profiles may be used for elevation comparisons and azimuth comparisons. Alternatively, subarrays may be selected such that the same difference beam power profile may be used for both elevation and azimuth. Scans may be time multiplexed such that data from different scans may be used to produce the sum beam power profile, the difference beam power profile, or both.

  • Patent number: 11966972
Abstract: The disclosure describes embodiments of systems, methods, and non-transitory computer readable storage media that utilize a machine learning model and a credit value model to generate user interface elements that present credit values and credit value conditions in real time for user accounts. For instance, the disclosed systems can generate an activity score using an activity machine learning model with internal user activity data of a user account. Then, utilizing a credit value model with the activity score and a user activity condition, the disclosed systems can determine a dynamic credit value range for the user account. Indeed, the disclosed systems can display user interface elements with selectable credit values from the dynamic credit value range.
