Abstract: An apparatus for drying hair includes first and second mutually-opposing arms adapted for movement between an open configuration for receiving a length of wet hair therebetween and a closed configuration adjacent the hair. A vibrator imparts vibration from at least one of the arms to the length of hair in use, to move and separate hair fibres for improving drying of the hair. A method of drying hair includes using the apparatus to impart vibration to a length of wet hair held within the apparatus. The method may further include using the apparatus to style the hair substantially simultaneously with drying the hair.

Abstract: A temporary barrier for enclosing a bathing enclosure such as a bathtub-shower combination or simply a shower enclosure uses a frame that sits atop a front surface of the enclosure such as on the top of the bathtub and abuts each of the opposing outside walls of the enclosure. A pair of sliding shower doors is slidably disposed within the frame, or alternately, a pair of doors is pivotally attached within the frame, or one door pivotally attached with a fixed panel next to the pivoting door. A pair of tensioning mechanisms is attached, one each to each of the horizontal members of the frame, in order to securely wedge the frame between the outside walls.

Abstract: A saw sharpening apparatus having an abrasive wheel for sharpening saw blades, and including a tool for shaping and dressing the abrasive wheel. The abrasive wheel shaping tool is operable to contact the peripheral surface of the abrasive wheel and shape the peripheral surface into a predetermined profile. The shaping tool is operable to move radially and axially relative to the abrasive wheel. A controller in communication with the shaping tool is programmed to urge the shaping tool against the abrasive wheel and move the shaping tool across the peripheral surface in a predetermined pattern.
