  • Publication number: 20190207868
Abstract: A compute device can access local or remote accelerator devices for use in processing a received packet. The received packet can be processed by any combination of local accelerator devices and remote accelerator devices. In some cases, the received packet can be encapsulated in an encapsulating packet and sent to a remote accelerator device for processing. The encapsulating packet can indicate a priority level for processing the received packet and its associated processing task. The priority level can override a priority level that would otherwise be assigned to the received packet and its associated processing task. The remote accelerator device can specify a fullness of an input queue to the compute device. Other information can be conveyed by packets transmitted between and among compute devices and remote accelerator devices to assist in determining an accelerator to use or other uses.

  • Publication number: 20190044657
Abstract: Received undersized Ethernet frames are isolated and discarded in a Media Access Control (MAC) sublayer having a bus width greater than the number of bytes in a received minimum size Ethernet frame. The MAC sublayer maintains one counter to track the total number of undersized frames (undersized frames with good Cyclic Redundancy Check (CRC)) and runts with bad CRC). Undersized Ethernet frames are discarded by the MAC sublayer prior to calculating Cyclic Redundancy Check (CRC) for the Ethernet Frame.

  • Publication number: 20170225387
Abstract: Welded headgear sections can be produced by using a weld tool having pins protruding from a weld region contact surface to deliver high-frequency electromagnetic energy to a weld region defined by overlapping top and bottom headgear straps. The pins fully penetrate the top strap and at least partially penetrate the bottom strap. The pins concentrate the electromagnetic energy to achieve a weld joint of acceptable weld strength and aesthetic appeal.

  • Patent number: 9016190
Abstract: A fryer for deep frying a turkey has an outer cooking pot for containing hot oil. A splatter sleeve is telescopically slidable into the pot, the sleeve having a surrounding side wall, an open top surrounded by a top sleeve rim and an open bottom surrounded by a bottom sleeve rim. A lid is sealingly seatable upon the top sleeve rim and has a lid hole. A lid latch latches the lid to the top sleeve rim. A turkey support has a turkey support base, extends upwardly from the base to a handle top end and is insertable through the hole in the lid. When these components and a turkey are assembled, suspended from the handle and lowered into hot cooking oil, the sleeve is sufficiently long that it enters the oil before the turkey thereby assuring a complete splatter barrier.

  • Patent number: 8613599
Abstract: A turbine blade assembly, in particular for a gas turbine, is provided. The turbine blade assembly includes a disc with a rotation axis, turbine blades, each turbine blade including an airfoil, a blade root and a platform between the airfoil and the blade root by which it may be fixed to the disc, locking plates and bent seal strips. The turbine blades are arranged adjacent to each other on the disc, such that gaps are present between the platforms of adjacent turbine blades and root cavities are present between the portions of the roots of adjacent turbine blades. The turbine blades are secured axially to the disc by the locking plates. The seal strips are arranged in the gaps between the platforms of neighboring turbine blades to seal the gap and protrude axially over the blade root and over the locking plate.

  • Patent number: 8554567
Abstract: An interactive voice response (IVR) platform running a voice application for use with a voice client is extended to support text messaging clients and other clients of other media types on other channels. An application-to-text messaging interface interfaces with text messaging clients via a text messaging protocol transport and interfaces with the IVR via an API. It includes a user/application manager to handle user and application accounts and a state/session manager to handle state information required by the text messaging operations and to handle sessions maintained by the IVR. Text modules are implemented having text synthesis and text recognition with a dictionary/grammar. These allow voice-specific application scripts to be interpreted in a text channel. The extended multi-channel platform supports an open source text messaging network and also through a transport gateways to other types of text messaging clients.

  • Patent number: 8545183
Abstract: A gas turbine rotor blade and rotor disk arrangement is provided. The rotor blade and the rotor disk includes a coating in order to seal the gap which normally exists between the bottom part of the blade root and the bottom part of the disk slot. The coating may be applied to the blade root or to the disk itself on the bottom part of the disk slot. The coating is preferably an abradable nickel-alloy Bentonite coating. The coating may also be applied to only a portion of the areas being sealed, omitting a portion at the start of the slot or at the start of one of the lobes of the blade root, so that a lead-in is formed, whereby the blade can more easily be inserted into the slot.
