The valve assembly comprises a valve body having ports in communication with the three lines; a spool bore and valve spool reciprocating therewithin, having first and second end portions joined by a connecting portion, and first and second bypass orifices within the valve spool; and dampers for centering the valve spool in a neutral position. The bypass orifices utilize increased cross-sectional areas that permit the passage of substantially the full flow of the charge pump, without using a charge pump relief valve, at a low pressure drop. A hydraulic system utilizing this valve assembly and a method for increasing the transmission efficiency, in the neutral mode, are also set forth.

The central portions of the first and second sheets are substantially not bonded together. Thus, two layers of sterilization material are provided for an article to be sterilized.

The wrap is made of at least a first panel of sterilization material and includes an additional panel of material. The first panel is multi-layered and includes at least one pathogen filtration layer. The first panel is rectangular and has an outer periphery and a central portion. The outer periphery includes first, second, third and fourth edges. The additional panel of material is bonded to the first panel, approximately at a forty-five degree angle to the first panel, with a substantial portion of the additional panel being adjacent to the central portion of the first panel. The perimeter of the additional panel is smaller than the perimeter of the first panel. Portions of the additional panel are bonded to the first panel along the first, second, third and fourth edges of the first panel.

    Abstract: There is provided an improved sterilization wrap and a method for using the improved sterilization wrap to sterilize an article. The wrap is made of at least one sheet, and preferably two sheets, of sterilization material and in some embodiments, includes an additional sheet which may be made of an absorbent material. The sheet of absorbent material may have a smaller perimeter than at least one sheet of sterilization material. One side of at least one sheet of sterilization material includes a central portion. The absorbent material may be attached to the central portion of at least one sheet of sterilization material. The article to be sterilized is placed on the sterilization wrap and is then wrapped. The absorbent material provides sterility protection for the article in addition to the at least one sheet of sterilization material and also wicks moisture away from the article after sterilization has taken place.

For each of the first set of loops, a corresponding loop is identified from roads represented in a second of the two road map databases, to define a second set of loops. Each loop of the second set of loops may include one or more links, and each link represents a portion of a road represented in the second road map database. A set of output loops corresponding to the first set of loops is generated to form an output road map database.

    Abstract: Synthesis and applications of fluorescent dyes which are derivatives of benzo[c]xanthenes is described. The dyes exhibit pH dependent absorption and fluorescence spectra with pKas near the normal physiological range. Unlike fluorescein, the dyes exhibit emission of different characteristic wavelengths dependent on the pH of the medium. This permits several methods of measuring the pH of the medium in contact with the indicator including measuring two emissions with one excitation, selectively exiting the acid and base forms independently and measuring their emission at either single or dual wavelengths, or measuring the characteristic pH dependent absorption or fluorescence excitation spectral. Methods are presented for making the indicators permeant to cell membranes for the measurement of intracellular pH.
