    Abstract: The present invention relates to a lid removal or container opener tool. The tool is a standalone device made of a rigid material and has a plurality of container opening slots and edges. More specifically, the tool is a tapered and has a corrugated tapered surface and a smooth tapered surface. The tapered surfaces along with bottom surface of the tool is used for accommodating and securing a lid to open. The tool can be easily grasped in the palm and fingers for twisting. A prying slot is used for opening pry-type caps. A protrusion, a linear corrugated slot and a linear smooth slot are also used for opening a variety of containers.
