  • Publication number: 20240108846
Abstract: A humidification system for delivering humidified gases to a user can include a heater base, humidification chamber having an inlet, outlet, and associated fluid conduit, and breathing circuit including a supply conduit, inspiratory conduit, and optional expiratory conduit. The humidification system can include various features to help make set-up less difficult and time-consuming. For example, the supply conduit, inspiratory conduit, and optional expiratory conduit can be coupled into a one-piece circuit to aid set-up. Various components can be color-coded and can have corresponding structures to indicate which components should be connected to one another during set-up. Such features can also help make the set-up process more intuitive for an operator, which can reduce the need for specialized training and reduce the number of potential errors.

  • Patent number: 7339549
Abstract: A universal mounting assembly that can be attached to both a cylindrical surface and a planar surface is provided according to embodiments of the present invention. The universal mounting assembly includes a top plate, a bottom plate, and a spacer. Both the top plate and the bottom plate have a pair of parallel edge portions and at least one curved edge portion that is disposed between the two parallel edge portions. The curved edge portion on the top and bottom plate contains at least one mounting tab for attaching the universal mounting assembly to a cylindrical support structure. The universal mounting assembly also includes planar mounting brackets located at each intersection of the parallel edge portions and the curved edge portion for mounting to a planar support structure. The top plate and the bottom plate are rigidly affixed to the spacer, which may be annular shaped and used to house electronic components, such as a lightning protection circuit. Other embodiments are also claimed and described.

  • Patent number: 7333771
Abstract: A relatively low cost, easy to install and aesthetically pleasing cellular signal enhancer, also known as a wireless repeater, suitable for use in a home or business. The device includes a removable mounting pedestal that can be plugged into both an upper and a lower receptacle on a signal enhancer unit. This allows the signal enhancer unit to be installed with the same upright orientation when installed on an upper or a lower support surface, for example the bottom or top casing of a window frame. The mounting pedestal includes a power plug so that the mounting pedestal is removable and can be plugged into the upper or lower receptacles on the signal enhancer unit. Alternatively, the unit may include an orientation detector and an invertible display that inverts the symbols shown on the display in response to the detected orientation of the signal enhancer unit.

  • Publication number: 20040166802
Abstract: A low-cost user portable signal enhancer unit for extending service coverage of wireless communications to a user in a desired area of limited coverage. The enhancement supports an increase of signal power levels to allow wireless communication usage in a location, such as a small office or home office environment where the original cellular signals are weak or unreliable. A base station signal is enhanced by a bi-directional amplifier device (BDA), which receives a base station signal, amplifies the signal power and retransmits the amplified signal in a first signal path to a user in close proximity. The bi-directional amplifier also receives a user signal, amplifies the signal power and retransmits the amplified signal to the base station in a second separate signal path. Dual polarized antennas can receive and transmit the respective signals at opposite polarizations to increase isolation of the signals.
