  • Patent number: 12187844
Abstract: In various embodiments, the present invention provides well-defined biodegradable poly(lactone-b-propylene fumarate) diblock and triblock polymers formed using a novel one-pot, scalable ring-opening block-order copolymerization (ROBOCOP) technique that utilizes magnesium 2,6-di-tert-butyl-4-methylphenoxide (Mg(BHT)2(THF)2) to “switch” from the ROP of cyclic esters to the ROCOP of maleic anhydride (MAn) and propylene oxide (PO) to produce PPF based block copolymers for application in additive manufacturing and patient specific regenerative medicine. These block copolymers are fully resorbable and can be photochemically crosslinked in a number of applications, including 3D printing. By adding the lactone block to the PPF polymer, the viscosity of the resulting block copolymer at working temperatures can be precisely controlled and the quantity of the reactive diluent in printable resins can be reduced or eliminated.

  • Patent number: 12191007
Abstract: Example embodiments relate to a method for training a predictive model from data. The method includes defining a multitude of predicates as binary functions operating on time sequences of the features or logical operations on the time sequences of the features. The method also includes iteratively training a boosting model by generating a number of new random predicates, scoring all the new random predicates by weighted information gain with respect to a class label associated with a prediction of the boosting model, selecting a number of the new random predicates with the highest weighted information gain and adding them to the boosting model, computing weights for all the predicates in the boosting model, removing one or more of the selected new predicates with the highest information gain from the boosting model in response to input from an operator. The method may include repeating the prior steps a plurality of times.
