Abstract: A method and apparatus for advertising to a plurality of consumers for the benefit of a plurality of merchants. The method includes the steps of providing a database searchable by the plurality of consumers of respective products and/or services offered by each of the plurality of merchants, providing a respective discount card to each of the plurality of consumers, upon presentation of the discount card by a consumer of the plurality of consumers to a merchant of the plurality of merchants, providing a discount for purchases of products and/or services made by the consumer from the merchant and periodically sending a respective record of discounts received by each of the plurality of consumers to the consumer.
