  • Patent number: 11949668
Abstract: A method may include receiving, from a user device, a registration request that includes a subscription concealed identifier (SUCI), identifying a network element to decode the SUCI and forwarding the SUCI to the identified network element. The method may also include decoding the SUCI to identify a subscription permanent identifier (SUPI), identifying a unified data management (UDM) device associated with the SUPI and transmitting an authentication request to the identified UDM device to obtain authentication information associated with the user device. The method may further include receiving the authentication information and authenticating the user device based on the received authentication information.

  • Publication number: 20240095060
Abstract: Systems and methods are taught for providing customers of a cloud computing service to control when updates affect the services provided to the customers. Because multiple customers share the cloud's infrastructure, each customer may have conflicting preferences for when an update and associated downtime occurs. Preventing and resolving conflicts between the preferences of multiple customers while providing them with input for scheduling a planned update may reduce the inconvenience posed by updates. Additionally, the schedule for the update may be transmitted to customers so that they can prepare for the downtime of services associated with the update.

  • Patent number: 11930818
Abstract: Techniques regarding star polymers with enhanced antimicrobial functionality are provided. For example, a polymer is provided that can comprise a core that can have a singlet oxygen generator and that can generate a singlet oxygen species upon irradiation with light. The polymer can also comprise a plurality of polycarbonate arms covalently bonded to the core. The plurality of polycarbonate arms can be degradable and can comprise a cation. Further, the plurality of polycarbonate arms can have antimicrobial functionality.

  • Patent number: 8613047
Abstract: A system and method which may allow users to interact with Internet servers with graphical mouse movements. The invention is especially useful to enhance online transaction security. A user may use a mouse to draw a pattern and store the pattern as his password to an online account, and draw the pattern with a mouse to log in the online account. The password may include a drawing, one or more letters, one or more numbers, or one or more characters. In an embodiment, a computer program product may include a computer-readable medium having instructions which, when performed by a computer, perform a user authentication method. The user authentication method may include receiving at an Internet server a username; receiving at the Internet server a password which is drawn with graphical movements of a graphical drawing input device; determining whether the password drawn matches a password previously stored with the username; and authenticating a user accordingly.

  • Patent number: 6738819
Abstract: A dynamic admission control(AC) mechanism for accepting traffic service requests to a carrier IP network based on an iterative measurement method, is disclosed. For each service offered, a network planner assigns a certain amount of resources. A QoS manager keeps track of the amount of unused resources for each particular service. The amount of unused resources are estimated using actual measurements of load levels on various links of the network. Each router monitors the loading level on each of its outgoing interfaces. Those measurements are then transferred to the QoS manager upon request, or periodically at time intervals “T”.

  • Patent number: 6667956
Abstract: A multi-class digital network is described. The network supports a plurality of digital services using dynamically-configured service bands to support various transport modes and qualities of service. A network control element receives traffic and network state information from the nodes. The network control element maintains a network topology and uses the network topology to compute route sets for the nodes. The network control element uses the traffic information to compute network size specifications. The switching nodes use rate controllers to divide the capacity of each link among the connection classes according to rules which ensure consistent service attributes for each band across the network. The rate controllers are adapted to support different transport modes and different packet sizes so that the deconstruction and reconstruction of packets at network edge devices is eliminated.

  • Patent number: 5629930
Abstract: A routing scheme for an ATM switching network includes a plurality of switching nodes, each of which includes individual storage for storing routing messages for each outgoing link. A call at a source node is routed through one possible routing path which requires only one or two links to complete a connection to a destination node. In such case, one of the routing paths is selected based on link state information concerning only the possible routing paths. If the call requires a route path which includes three or more links to the destination node, the source node performs a predefined sequential routing to its neighboring node before the neighboring node negotiates with selected intermediate nodes for a connection involving two links. The routing messages stored at each node are processed independently and simultaneously by each node. The main requirement is that routing decisions must be based on true link-state information.
