  • Patent number: 11362458
Abstract: A bidirectionally installable intermediate modular adapter for a rack mounted panel is provided, including a front face, an opposing rear face, a first side surface and opposing second side surface each comprising a spring tab latch and spring tab latch receiver. The spring tab latch comprises a first ramp positioned towards the front face and a second ramp positioned towards the opposing rear face, a groove defined at least in part by the first ramp and second ramp, a first latch arm positioned towards the front face, a second latch arm positioned towards the opposing rear face, a spring tab latch connector positioned towards the spring tab receiver, and a compression spring. At least one opening extends from the front face through the body to the opposing rear face and an upper surface comprises a groove extending at least partially lengthwise across the upper surface.

  • Patent number: 11276969
Abstract: A bidirectional intermediate modular adapter (500) can be installed from the front or the rear of a mounting panel. The body (502) of the modular adapter includes a front face (504), an opposing rear face (506), an opening (210) extending from the front face through the body to the opposing rear face, a first side surface (512) and an opposing second side surface (514), a flexible top surface (508) and an opposing lower surface (510). The flexible top surface has flexible beams (518A, 518B) and landings (528A, 528B), which define a deformable opening (520), and a first groove (526). The landings may have ramps (522A, 522B) at the sides thereof. The opposing lower surface has a second groove (540) extending at least partially lengthwise across thereof. The bidirectional intermediate modular adapter is preferably made of a nonconductive material with a conductive plating thereon.

  • Publication number: 20190273347
Abstract: An electrically conductive assembly includes a connector; a rack mount panel including a plurality of integrally formed cutouts, the rack mount panel being formed from an electrically conductive material; an intermediate modular adapter that is sized and configured for selective engaged receipt within a corresponding one of the plurality of integrally formed cutouts; the intermediate modular adapter including a plurality of integrally formed openings each being sized for engaged receipt of the connector; the intermediate modular adapter being plated with an electrically conductive material; and wherein selective engagement of the connector in one of the plurality of integrally formed openings on the intermediate modular adapter creates an electrical connection between the connector, the rack mount panel, and the intermediate modular adapter.

  • Patent number: 7266841
Abstract: The invention provides a module for use in a central service provider interface having access to security system and voice and data communications. The module is configured to allow the security system to seize the telephone line when necessary to indicate a security breached to the service provider by incorporating RJ31 functionality to allow the security panel to seize the primary line if activated. The module is also configured to connect a modem to an Internet service provider over PSTN twisted pair cable. Primary and secondary telephone lines are passed through the modem before the telephones to allow filtering of the data signals.
