Abstract: Embodiments of the disclosure relate to configuration of a service in trial mode for a certain trial period. The service consumed in trial mode can be provided by a multiple service operator, and can be accessed via customer premises equipment (CPE) within a unit within a multiple dwelling unit and/or via user equipment outside the unit. A subscription to the service or other services can be implemented in response to expiration of the trial period. Trial of the service does not rely financial information associated with a consumer nor does the trial rely on a billing account for the service.
