  • Publication number: 20230072837
Abstract: A method for processing network data, comprising receiving a data packet at a first processor having a non-transient data memory, storing the data packet in the non-transient data memory, accessing one or more first data fields of the data packet in the data memory, determining whether a device is bandwidth limited as a function of the first data fields being associated with an application, transmitting the data packet to a second processor over a network if it is determined that the device is not bandwidth limited, determining whether the device has reached a limit if it is determined that the device is bandwidth limited, transmitting the data packet to the second processor over the network if it is determined that the limit has not been reached and deleting the data packet without transmitting the data packet if it is determined that the limit has been reached.

  • Publication number: 20100177751
Abstract: A local wireless system comprises a plurality of wireless communication units to transmit to and receive wireless signals from one or more wireless devices and a soft switch coupled to the plurality of wireless communication units to obtain connection information for each of the one or more wireless devices. The soft switch comprises a memory to store the connection information and location-based data associated with a service area of the plurality of wireless communication units; and a gateway to process non-real-time data requests and provide an interface to a packet network. The soft switch is operable to push the location-based data from the memory to at least a subset of the one or more wireless devices using the connection information stored in the memory.

  • Publication number: 20100178914
Abstract: In one embodiment, a wireless communication unit is provided. The wireless communication unit comprises a transceiver operable to transmit to and receive wireless signals from one or more wireless devices in a service area of the wireless communication unit; a controller operable to manage operation of the transceiver and to obtain and store connection information for each of the one or more wireless devices; and a cache operable to store location-based data associated with the service area of the wireless communication unit. The controller is further operable to push location-based data from the cache to at least a subset of the one or more wireless devices using the stored connection information for the subset of the one or more wireless devices.

  • Publication number: 20100177680
Abstract: A wireless network comprises a plurality of areas of interest and a core network coupled to each of the plurality of areas of interest to route real-time data from each of the plurality of areas of interest. Each of the plurality of areas of interest includes a plurality of wireless communication units. Each wireless communication unit comprises a local cache to store non-real-time data; and a gateway to process non-real-time data requests and provide an interface to a packet network.
