  • Patent number: 6899305
Abstract: In one aspect, a stackable transmission line hanger is provided for securing one or more transmission lines to a supporting structure. Each such hanger includes a transmission line retention section for accommodating a transmission line and a mounting section extending from the transmission line retention section, the mounting section including a mounting hole disposed therein. The transmission line retention section includes a first leg and a second leg extending therefrom, the first and second legs allowing the hanger to accommodate various sizes of transmission lines. The first and second legs each include a locking barb configured to lock against an attachment surface.

  • Publication number: 20040066353
Abstract: A method of mounting an antenna to a support, the method including the steps of: a) mounting first and second clamps to the support; b) tightening the first clamp around the support; c) mounting the antenna to the first clamp; d) after step c), moving the second clamp along the support away from the first clamp into engagement with the antenna; and e) tightening the second clamp around the support. The antenna is suspended from the first clamp by gripping the antenna below its upper end; lifting the upper end of the antenna over the first clamp mounted at an elevated position; and lowering the upper end of the antenna onto the first clamp so that interlocking male and female parts of the clamp and the antenna couple together. The clamp has three or more clamping members and three or more tighteners which can each be adjusted to tighten together a respective pair of adjacent clamping members so as to tighten the clamp around the support. The clamp can be provided in kit form.

  • Patent number: 6161804
Abstract: In one aspect, a transmission line hanger is provided for securing a transmission line having a protective jacket to a supporting structure having an aperture defined by a wall. The transmission line hanger includes a transmission line retention section for retaining a transmission line. The transmission line hanger further includes an extended section extending from the retention section. The extended section includes a spring finger flexibly connected thereto, and projecting inwardly therefrom. The spring finger is configured to penetrate into the jacket once the transmission line is inserted into the hanger. The spring finger minimizes longitudinal movement of the transmission line with respect to the hanger. The extended section, in conjunction with the spring finger, allows the hanger to accommodate a large range of different transmission line diameters.

  • Patent number: 5910877
Abstract: A novel current-limiting line protector for a communications circuit is disclosed, and includes a first and second incoming conductive member, a one piece roll-formed conductive member conductively coupled to each incoming conductive member, a ground member, an S-shaped spring in slidable contact with the ground member, and a first and second diode and solder member combination conductively coupled to the first and second incoming conductive members and disposed between the spring and the incoming conductive members. Each diode and solder member combination maintains the spring and the respective incoming conductive member in spaced, non-conducting relation while each solder member remains substantially intact.
