Abstract: The invention provides one or more displays to assist a user in managing inventory for one or more migration components in a migration. In particular, forecast data for each migration component is generated based on migration data for one or more targets and a plurality of time frames. One or more displays are generated that include the forecast data, migration data, and/or inventory data for the migration components.

Abstract: A system, method and program product for copying data between disjoint data processing applications. A system is disclosed that includes: a source application having a system for selecting a data record and a triggering agent that extracts relevant data from the selected data record, launches a dialog box and displays the extracted relevant data in the dialog box; and a data transfer system having a keystroke simulator for copying and pasting data from the dialog box to an interface window in a target application based on a set of data transfer rules.

Abstract: The generation of an activity display for displaying history data for one or more migration values is provided. A history record that includes various modification attributes is generated each time the migration value is modified and stored as history data. One or more stored history records can be obtained from the history data and displayed to the user. When multiple history records are to be displayed, they can be categorized in a hierarchical structure based some of the modification attributes to enable a user to selectively display and navigate the history records.

Abstract: Under the present invention, information pertaining to an existing network topology is imported into a migration database. This information typically comprises information about devices in the existing network topology, existing network addresses for the devices, whether each device has a static or a dynamic address, information about locations of the devices, and information about users of the devices. In addition, information pertaining to a new network topology is received in the migration database. This type of information typically comprises new network addresses or ranges of addresses for the devices, network port identifiers, connections to specific closets, racks, and switches, and whether each device requires a static or a dynamic address. Regardless, the information provided will then be sorted according a set of database views, which can then be provided to viewers.
