Abstract: A davit used for abseiling purposes and adapted to anchor to a parapet roof includes a davit base assembly and a mast base assembly associated with a mast and configured to rotation about the davit base assembly. The davit base assembly includes a mounting plate sub-assembly adapted to anchor to the roof, and a removable base sub-assembly configured to cooperate with the mounting plate sub-assembly. The mast base assembly includes a roller bearing arrangement configured for contact with a sleeve of the removable base sub-assembly during rotation of the mast and the associated mast base assembly about the davit base assembly.
