Patent number: 11432619Abstract: One aspect of this disclosure is a method comprising: receiving, from a camera, a video feed depicting a pair of feet and a scaling object; capturing, with the camera, images of the feet and the scaling object based on the video feed; identifying foot features in each captured image; determining camera positions for each captured image by triangulating the foot features; generating a point cloud in a three-dimensional space by positioning each foot feature in the three-dimensional space based on the camera positions; scaling the point cloud based on the scaling object; segmenting the point cloud into at least a right-foot cluster and a left-foot cluster; fitting a first three-dimensional morphable model to the right-foot cluster according to first foot parameters; and fitting a second three-dimensional morphable model to the left-foot cluster according to second foot parameters. Related systems, apparatus, and methods also are described.Type: GrantFiled: February 16, 2018Date of Patent: September 6, 2022Assignee: DIGITAL ANIMAL INTERACTIVE INC.Inventors: Jamie Roy Sherrah, Michael Henson, William Ryan Smith

Publication number: 20210321035Abstract: A computer-implemented method performable with an imaging device comprises selecting a frame from a video feed output with the imaging device during a movement of the imaging device relative to a body part and detecting the body part in the frame. If the body part is detected, a first process is performed comprising: calculating an azimuth angle of the imaging device relative to the body part, calculating a metering region for the body part, and measuring a motion characteristic of the movement. The method also involves qualifying the frame based on at least one of the azimuth angle and the motion characteristic. If the frame is qualified, a second process is performed comprising: adjusting a setting of the imaging device based on the metering region, capturing an image of the body part with the imaging device based on the setting, identifying a location of the image relative to the body part based on the azimuth angle, and associating the image with a reference to the location.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 30, 2019Publication date: October 14, 2021Inventors: Jamie Roy SHERRAH, Michael HENSON, William Ryan SMITH

Patent number: 9230758Abstract: The invention relates to a mechanical assembly for a wire-fuse circuit-breaker (1) provided with a fuseholder (2) and a drive lever (3) adapted to be actuated by an operator and to actuate a lever for breaking the fuse wire. According to the invention, the direction of pivoting of the drive lever is the opposite of the direction of pivoting of the fuseholder tube and the mounting of the parts leaves sufficiently clear the area in the vicinity of the open lower end of the fuse-holder tube to allow gases produced by breaking the fuse wire to exhaust without disturbing the flow thereof. This makes a wire-fuse circuit-breaker safe to drive and safe in operation. The invention also relates to a method of renovating an existing wire-fuse circuit-breaker.Type: GrantFiled: May 23, 2011Date of Patent: January 5, 2016Assignee: SCHNEIDER ELECTRIC CANADA INC.Inventors: Pierre Favreau, Jamie Roy, Goran Milisav, Nicolas Astruc

Patent number: 8953674Abstract: A sequence of images received from a camera is recorded according to a first procedure. The images are analyzed to identify events of interest, and upon identifying an event of interest, an area of interest of a plurality of said images is identified. The identified area is recorded according to a second procedure.Type: GrantFiled: December 2, 2004Date of Patent: February 10, 2015Assignee: Lighthaus Logic Inc.Inventors: Michael Anthony Henson, Jamie Roy Sherrah, Peter Richard Quartermain

Displaying graphical output representing the activity of a plurality of monitoring detection devices
Patent number: 8948245Abstract: Graphical output representing the activity of a plurality of monitoring detection devices over a region is displayed. The detection devices are represented as an array of regular polygons in an arrangement substantially analogous to the monitored region, and a characteristic of the graphical output is adjusted within a displayed polygon by a degree dependent upon the level of activity detected by its respective detection device.Type: GrantFiled: December 2, 2004Date of Patent: February 3, 2015Assignee: Lighthaus Logic Inc.Inventors: Michael Anthony Henson, Jamie Roy Sherrah, Peter Richard Quartermain, Mark Adrian van den Bergen -

Patent number: 8051580Abstract: The present invention relates to a dryer motor assembly support that limits or eliminates cabinet vibration and noise. The dryer comprises a cabinet comprising a floor having an outside peripheral portion, and a central portion with four openings. The dryer further comprises a motor assembly, having a motor and motor mount comprising a base, spaced above the openings. A support assembly for supporting the motor assembly comprises two parallel spaced apart support portions each spaced below and spanning across the central portion, passing beneath the openings. Each support portion has oppositely disposed end portions secured with the peripheral portion. Each support portion comprises two projections extending therefrom toward the base. Each projection passes through a corresponding one of the openings with clearance to secure the support portion with the base, isolating the motor. The motor and support assembly, and the openings are co-located away from the central portion.Type: GrantFiled: October 2, 2008Date of Patent: November 8, 2011Assignee: Mabe Canada Inc.Inventors: Pierre-André Bruneau, Jamie Roy, Dominique Larochelle
