Abstract: Examples of the present disclosure describe systems and methods for dynamic representation of suggested queries. In an example, a suggested search query may be generated to provide a user with an alternative query that may be used by the user to adjust, refine, or vary a search. The suggested search query may be displayed to the user in the form of suggested content, wherein the suggested content may comprise a compilation or a collage of search results associated with the suggested search query. A suggested search query may be generated based on one or more datasets, wherein a dataset may provide different variations for a given search query. Accordingly, search queries from different datasets may be incorporated into search results, thereby providing diverse and dynamic search suggestions to the user.

Abstract: Aspects of the technology described herein automatically generate captions for visual media, such as a photograph or video. The caption can be presented to a user for adoption and/or modification. If adopted, the caption could be associated with the image and then forwarded to the user's social network, a group of users, or any individual or entity designated by a user. The caption is generated using data from the image in combination with signal data received from a mobile device on which the visual media is present. The data from the image could be gathered via object identification performed on the image. The signal data can be used to determine a context for the image. The signal data can also help identify other events that are associated with the image, for example, that the user is on vacation. The caption is built using information from both the picture and context.

Abstract: Methods and computer-readable media are provided for presenting on a website a single video stream that includes a plurality of preview videos directed toward a particular category of interest to a user. Informational items, such as news stories, that have associated preview videos are selected from a database. A preview video for each of the informational items is then algorithmically determined using, for instance, a ranking system. The ranking system may be based on a variety of heuristics, which may indicate popularity, importance, reliability, or relevance of the specific preview video. The single video stream is presented on the website such that the preview videos can be viewed as an assembled sequence of videos. Once an indication has been received to initiate play of the video stream, the preview videos play without requiring any user interaction.

A user's web search is performed on a search engine, and results are returned to a client computing device. The results are listed in a web-browser window that is configured to simultaneously display any result selected by a user.
