  • Publication number: 20240114352
Abstract: Steps are presented for deploying a plurality of BS/APs, such as CBSDs (Citizen's Broadband radio Service Devices) in an enterprise network or other such private network at a location such as a warehouse, factory, research center or other building. The deployment is a process by which the BS/APs in the network are set up to be ready for operation within the network. In addition, a communication system is described in which an enterprise operator provides subscription data and commissioning information to an SAS and a Subscriber Database.

  • Patent number: 11856411
Abstract: Methods and apparatus are disclosed for determining spectrum availability within a radio band managed by a Spectrum Management Entity (SME), and allocating available spectrum to Base Station/Access Points (BS/APs) of an Enterprise Network (EN). The EN includes a domain proxy that sends a registration request to the SME indicating a maximum EIRP for the BS/APs. After receiving registration, the Domain Proxy sends a spectrum inquiry and receives a response specifying available spectrum. If less than the entire requested spectrum is available, then the maximum EIRP indication is reduced, and a next iteration is performed re-registering the BS/APs and requesting spectrum. Iterations are repeated until the entire requested spectrum is available, and then spectrum is allocated to the BS/APs. Each iteration of channel availability is stored, and channels are allocated utilizing a Self-Organizing Network (SON) technique responsive to the stored channel availability. The EN may comprise a CBRS Network.

  • Publication number: 20230071539
Abstract: A method and apparatus for allocating radio resources in a RAN deployment in an Enterprise Network. Radio resource parameter allocation decisions for all the Base Stations and Access Points (BS/APs) in the deployment are made responsive to network graphs formed using predicted path loss. In one embodiment the predicted path loss values are simulated for a particular enterprise network deployment, network graphs are formed using the path loss values, and radio resources parameters are allocated responsive to the network graphs. Advantageously, the network graphs provide the network with the ability to quickly and efficiently allocate radio resources, which can be automated. In the initial installation, this reduces cost and time. During operation, quick and efficient resource re-allocation provides quick adaptation to resource changes, an advantage that is useful particularly in the context of a CBRS system in which previously-available channels can be terminated.

  • Patent number: 11438770
Abstract: A method and apparatus for predicting channel availability in a spectrum-controlled network such as a Citizen's Band Radio Service (CBRS) network. The Base Stations/Access Points (BS/APs) and Domain Proxy monitor operating channels at an enterprise location and provide time series data. The data is analyzed, and patterns are identified in the collected channel availability data using Artificial Intelligence (AI) techniques. Channel availability is predicted using AI techniques, including one or more target channels and termination times. The network channels are reorganized to define a network reconfiguration that avoids the target channel, and pre-emptively reallocated. The enterprise network provides feedback regarding prediction accuracy, which is utilized in a machine learning process to modify the models and provide greater prediction accuracy.

  • Patent number: 11399290
Abstract: A method and apparatus for predicting capacity utilization and preemptively reallocating channels in a spectrum-controlled network such as a Citizen's Band Radio Service (CBRS) network. The network includes a plurality of Base Stations/Access Points (BS/APs) which monitor RF resource usage of the channels at each BS/AP and provide time series data relating to capacity utilization over a period of time. The data is analyzed, and patterns are identified in the collected capacity utilization data using Artificial Intelligence (AI) techniques. Looking forward, capacity utilization is predicted using AI techniques. Responsive to the capacity utilization predictions, the channels pre-emptively reallocated among BS/APs. The enterprise network provides feedback regarding prediction accuracy, which is utilized in a machine learning process to modify the models and provide greater prediction accuracy.

  • Publication number: 20210282021
Abstract: A method and apparatus for handling channel termination in a spectrum-controlled wireless communication network and bringing power back up to resume normal operation. The network includes Base Stations/Access Points (BS/APs) in communication with a number of User Equipment devices (UEs) within the coverage area over wireless channels. When a channel termination order is received, the network identifies at least one BS/AP communicating on the prohibited channel and designates at least one BS/AP not transmitting on the prohibited channel which is allowed to increase transmission power. The system gradually reduces power on the impacted BS/AP and gradually increases power on the designated BS/AP to induce handoff to provide a smooth transition and avoid service interruptions to connected UEs. In one embodiment the wireless network is a Citizen's Broadband Radio Service (CBRS) network, and the BS/APs are located at an enterprise location and form part of an enterprise network.

  • Patent number: 8771723
Abstract: The present invention concerns the reduction of gastro-intestinal methanogenesis in ruminants with the aid of agents that compete for the hydrogen atoms required by methanogens during normal fermentation of ingested feed. The invention in one aspect resides in the findings that both nitrate reductive pathways as well as sulphate reductive pathways outcompete gastro-intestinal methanogenesis in ruminants and, that the methanogenesis reducing effects of nitrate and sulphate are completely additive. At the same time the combined administration of nitrate and sulphate was found to be fully effective to avoid or mitigate the potential problems of nitrite intoxication normally encountered when using nitrate alone, which effect is further enhanced, where necessary, by the addition of a nitrite reducing probiotic micoroorganism.

  • Patent number: 7883399
Abstract: Methods for combining a tubular net with a carrier casing are disclosed. Air is blown into a carrier casing so that it is inflated to have a circular diameter. The inflated carrier casing is pulled in the direction of a tubular net toward a pleating head. The tubular net has holes and an open end of the tubular net is attached to a clamp. The inflated carrier casing is fed into the tubular net while pulling the net inside out over itself. The inflated carrier casing covered by the tubular net is pulled through the pleating head (which constricts the carrier casing) toward a shirring machine that includes the shirring mandrel. Air is blown from inside the shirring mandrel at a pressure that forces at least some areas of the carrier casing between the holes of the net to form protruding bulges, and the net/carrier casing combination is shined.

  • Publication number: 20090075575
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for producing a shirred food casing covered by a net, and a method for combining a net with a surface of a carrier casing, said method comprising steps wherein air or an inert gas is blown into the carrier casing, the carrier casing inflated/pressurized to be round is pulled in the direction of the tubular net towards a pleating head attached to one end of the tubular net, said net being attached at the open end thereof to a clamp centralized with a shirring mandrel, the carrier casing being thus folded into the tubular net while pulling the net inside out over itself, followed by pulling the carrier casing through the pleating head to the shirring machine where the pressure of air or an inert gas blown from inside of the shirring mandrel forces the areas of the carrier casing between the meshes of the net to form bulges, and finally the net/carrier casing combination is shirred by the shirring machine.
