  • Patent number: 4583415
Abstract: A device for driving a rotary sieve device, which device comprises at least one drive set that is connected through a transmission with one or more rotatable sieve surfaces which are placed in a housing. The novelty is the pneumatic tire mounted on a wheel that is fastened to a bushing mounted on the outgoing shaft of the drive set. The running surface of the pneumatic tire contacts a drive surface on the outside of the housing, which is connected by means of a horizontal leg to a vertical ring fastened below the sieve surface. This arrangement provides for the slippage and/or elastic deformation of the pneumatic tire in case of shocks or impact loads on the sieve surface by sudden amounts of material to be sieved through the sieve surfaces.

  • Patent number: 4313823
Abstract: A sieve device for separating a mixture of particulate material into components of different sizes has a rotating perforated sieve surface and a central, vertical shaft. The central vertical shaft is coupled to a drive set. A reaction arm is fastened to the drive set and embraces a rod mounted between brackets on the lower portions of the sieve device housing. Helical springs extend between each side of the reaction arm and the brackets so that shock loads applied to the shaft can be resiliently met by the reaction arm.

  • Patent number: 4293407
Abstract: A sieve device for separating a mixture of particulate material in components of different sizes, comprising a perforated sieve surface that rotates around a central, vertical shaft, said sieve surface having the shape of a hollow, truncated cone casing with a downwardly directed top, on which an imperforate distributor cone with an upwardly directed top has been mounted in the middle, of which distributor cone the base connects to the sieve surface, whereas the supply of the mixture to be separated takes place via a central supply tube placed above the distributor cone, whereas the removal of the coarse component takes place near the circumference of the sieve surface.
