  • Publication number: 20100159924
Abstract: The invention relates to an International Mobile Subscriber Identity, IMSI, handling system (1) for a cellular telephone network. An MS (MS) comprises a first switching device (2) arranged to switch IMSI from said IMSI in use to a 5 new IMSI. The system comprises an HLR (HLR) associated with a second switching device (3) arranged to switch IMSI in the HLR (HLR) correspondingly. The first and second switching devices (2, 3) are arranged to switch IMSI at selected points in time. The second switching device (3) comprises an identifying means (4) arranged to identify the new IMSI in the 10 HLR (HLR) as the subscriber. The invention also refers to a method for an IMSI handling system.

  • Patent number: 7212543
Abstract: A method, system and device for communication establishes communications sessions between otherwise incompatible communication networks. A central unit is used to facilitate communication systems between objects, by referring to a database of communication attributes associated with different communication networks used by a calling part and a called party. Rather than have direct connections from one communication network to a next communication network, and having unique translators to support such direct connections, each of the communications is directed to a central facility, that identifies common protocols that are supported by the different communication networks to be employed when establishing a communication session between a first communication network and a second communication network.

  • Publication number: 20050273613
Abstract: A method and apparatus are described for adapting a mobile terminal to different protocols in a wireless communication system. According to an exemplary embodiment, a script language is defined including a plurality of primitives that can be stored or pre-loaded in the mobile terminal. The script language is configurable to form a plurality of scripts using the primitives to describe a corresponding number of protocols. A script is downloaded from a service provider to the mobile terminal. The script defines an order in which the primitives that can be stored or pre-loaded in the mobile terminal are to be executed by the mobile terminal to form a protocol. The script is executed in the mobile terminal.

  • Patent number: 6915124
Abstract: A method for executing secure data transfer between a communication device and an application server in a wireless network, in which a request requiring a secure transaction of data is sent from either the communication device or the server. An agreement proposal for the secure transaction is sent to the communication device, and if the agreement proposal is considered acceptable, the agreement proposal is sent to a security adapter. Details of the transaction are entered into a message and sent to a smart card in order to activate a signing application in the smart card. The details of the transaction are displayed on the communication device, and if the transaction is accepted, the signing application signs the data and sends it to the security adapter via messages, the signature is verified, and the data is sent to the server.

  • Patent number: 6901251
Abstract: A portable communication apparatus has a man-machine interface, a controller, an operating system, a local storage device for storing a first application, a secure resource which is only accessible from the operating system, and a wireless interface for connecting the portable communication apparatus to a remote device. The man-machine interface provides interaction between a user of the portable communication apparatus and the first application when the first application is executed by the controller and the operating system. The man-machine interface also provides interaction between the user and a second application originating from the remote device. Only the operating system can provide a security indicator through the man-machine interface. The security indicator indicates a secure connection between the secure resource and either the first application or the second application, whichever is interacting with the man-machine interface.
