  • Patent number: 11897520
Abstract: A method for transferring control of a vehicle from automated vehicle control by a control unit to manual vehicle control by a driver by a control lever, wherein the control lever is used at least to accelerate, brake, and steer the vehicle, wherein there is also at least one first display screen for displaying driving information, including at least an actual speed and an actual trajectory of the vehicle and a speed and a trajectory based on the actual position of the control lever, and wherein automated vehicle control is transferred to manual vehicle control when the actual speed of the vehicle corresponds graphically to the speed based on the actual position of the control lever and the actual trajectory of the vehicle corresponds graphically to the trajectory based on the actual position of the control lever on the first display screen.

  • Patent number: 11508537
Abstract: An operating device for a steering wheel comprises an operating element, which can be selectively rotated about a first rotation axis and a second rotation axis for controlling a control system by means of an actuation, wherein the operating element can be rotated to an actuation stage from a starting position, wherein the first rotation axis is coaxial to the longitudinal axis of the operating element, and the second rotation axis is substantially transverse to the first rotation axis, wherein a force application point has a mechanical advantage with respect to the second rotation axis when actuated about the second rotation axis, and wherein the force application point has no substantial mechanical advantage in relation to the second rotation axis when the operating element is actuated about the first rotation axis, in order to prevent a simultaneous actuation of the operating element about the first and second rotation axes.

  • Patent number: 11458985
Abstract: A method for operating a vehicle operating system, wherein a navigation system provides map information, and a monitoring system monitors driver assistance information, which are displayed on a display device, wherein the navigation system, the monitoring system, the display device, and an operating device are coupled to a control device for data transfer, to display the map information and/or driver assistance information on the display, wherein an operating action is carried out by the operating device in order to change a display scale and/or a display angle in relation to a road surface between a first perspective and a second perspective, wherein the display scale and/or angle are adjusted continuously and/or discretely in at least two steps located within the two perspectives on a virtual visualization path, and wherein the first perspective is substantially perpendicular to the road surface and the second perspective is substantially parallel to the road surface.

  • Publication number: 20210403088
Abstract: A steering system for a vehicle may include a first actuator and a first display unit. The first actuator may include a first optical element, where when a control unit actuates the first optical element, at least one visual signal is generated to draw the attention of a vehicle driver. When the first optical element is actuated, the first display unit may also be actuated. At least one action request may displayed to the vehicle driver via the at least one display unit.

  • Publication number: 20200168096
Abstract: A method for monitoring an environment of an ego vehicle may include the following: identifying and evaluating at least one object in the environment of the ego vehicle with a sensor system, where the evaluation is based on the relevance for the ego vehicle, and/or for its intended spatiotemporal trajectory, where, if the relevance exceeds an intervention threshold T2, an assistance system intervenes in the spatiotemporal trajectory of the ego vehicle, and/or the driver of the ego vehicle is issued a maneuvering suggestion in this regard, in order to prevent or mitigate a collision. The object, including its position in relation to the ego vehicle, may be depicted on a display device in the ego vehicle, The visual conspicuousness of the object on the display device may be at least enhanced when the relevance of the object exceeds a notification threshold T1.
