  • Patent number: 10653347
Abstract: A method for estimating a local metabolic parameter of an area of tissue of a patient. The method receives light intensities from the area of tissue in question for at least three different wavelengths selected according to the absorptive power of different types of haemoglobin, on the basis of the absorbancy values calculated using the light intensities measured for the three wavelengths. The method determines a oxyhaemoglobin concentration and a deoxyhaemoglobin concentration and estimates at least one local metabolic parameter on the basis of the calculated oxyhaemoglobin and deoxyhaemo-globin concentrations.
    Type: Grant

Date of Patent: May 19, 2020
    Assignee: APD ADVANCED PERFUSION DIAGNOSTICS
    Inventors: Jan Beute, Remi Bonidal
  • Patent number: 10071077
Abstract: The invention involves the use of compounds from the class of aroyl-2H-imidazol-2-ones such as enoximone or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof for modulating the immune system involved in a topic and immune-related disorders. In particular, the invention involves the use of (1,3-dihydro-4-methyl-5-[4-(methylthio)benzoyl]-2H-imidazol-2-on) or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof. The invention also involves a pharmaceutical composition including aroyl-2H-imidazol-2-on or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof in an active quantity for the treatment of a topic and immune-related disorders, by modulating the immune system involved in a topic and immune-related disorders. Preference is especially given to a pharmaceutical composition in a dosage unit of 5, 10 or 20 mg, based on the quantity of the active ingredient.
    Type: Grant

  • Publication number: 20160213293
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for estimating a local metabolic parameter of an area of tissue of a patient, said method comprising: receiving (10) light intensities from the area of tissue in question for at least three different wavelengths selected according to the absorptive power of different types of haemoglobin; on the basis of the absorbancy values calculated using the light intensities measured for the three wavelengths, determining (40) a oxyhaemoglobin concentration and a deoxyhaemoglobin concentration; and estimating (50) at least one local metabolic parameter on the basis of the calculated oxyhaemoglobin and deoxyhaemoglobin concentrations.

  • Publication number: 20120209086
Abstract: A blood flow measurement system for measuring blood flow within the gastrointestinal tract is provided including a catheter, a processor, and measurement software. The catheter has an expandable member disposed near its distal end and an optical sensor disposed adjacent to the expandable member. The optical sensor is configured to generate a signal indicative of blood flow within the gastrointestinal tract. The processor is configured to control the optical sensor, to receive the signal, and to transmit the signal to the measurement software for measuring blood flow.

  • Patent number: 8147431
Abstract: A measuring member and a device to be used for determining the blood flow of the gastrointestinal tract, includes an intestinal probe, having its distal end provided with a flexible inflatable body and at least one pressure sensor mounted on this supporting body. After bringing the inflatable flexible body to predetermined pressure, the pressure sensor will abut the intestinal wall and the measured pressure development, which represents a measure for the blood flow of the gastrointestinal tract, is transformed into a graphical image with the help of the device and/or is transformed into actual values for the blood flow of the gastrointestinal tract. Further, the measuring member measures the development of the pressure within the inflatable flexible body, which represents a measure for the intestinal peristalsis.
