  • Patent number: 10870329
Abstract: A ventilation device for an interior of a motor vehicle includes a ducting system with at least one air duct and a blower via which an air flow can be generated in the ducting system. To allow active ventilation of the interior at particularly low noise levels, at least one sound transducer of the ventilation device is provided via which a sound pressure in the ducting system can be detected and a signal corresponding to the sound pressure detected can be transmitted to at least one second sound transducer of the ventilation device. In order to reduce the sound pressure, a counter sound pressure depending on the signal in the ducting system can be generated by the at least one second sound transducer.

    Assignee: Bayerische Motoren Werke Aktiengesellschaft
    Inventor: Jan Biermann
  • Publication number: 20200031200
Abstract: The invention relates to a venting device for venting an interior of a motor vehicle, including an air guiding element, which comprises at least one air outlet for venting the interior, and including an acoustic damping element disposed in the air guiding element, by means of which a sound pressure level occurring at the air outlet can be reduced. In order to provide such a venting device with improved acoustic characteristics, it is provided that the damping element is formed as a Helmholtz resonator.
