    Abstract: Assembly systems and methods are provided for elastically deforming a non-circularly shaped washer while driving the washer through an insertion tool into a workpiece, such as a pressure sensor, having a correspondingly shaped recess with an inner wall diameter less than a maximum radial dimension of the non-circular washer. The washer is released from radial compression into the recess so as to permit the washer to become fixated against the inner wall of the recess by a retention force. The fixated washer has a height greater than a height of the recess inner wall, and may serve as a deformable sealing element between the workpiece and other components.

    Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods and apparatus for OLED control circuits. In some implementations, the OLED control circuit can be configured to reverse the bias of the OLED without the use of a dedicated initialization voltage. A low voltage data signal applied on a data line can be used to drain voltage from the anode of the OLED through a diode-connected transistor. A high voltage data signal applied on the same data line can be used to store a reference voltage on a storage capacitor, where the reference voltage is also a function of the threshold voltage of a driving transistor of the OLED control circuit. The stored reference voltage can be used to compensate for the threshold voltage of the driving transistor when the OLED is energized by a current, so that the current is independent of the threshold voltage of the driving transistor.

The oxide semiconductor can be formed out of the same layer as the first transparent electrode, and the common electrode can be formed out of the same layer as the oxide semiconductor or the source and drain electrodes.

    Abstract: This disclosure provides apparatus, systems and methods for manufacturing electromechanical systems (EMS) packages. One method includes making an EMS package that includes an out-gassable anti-stiction coating. The anti-stiction coating may be a solvent that is included within part of a desiccant mixture. In some implementations, the method includes sealing an EMS device into a package and then heating the package using a temperature profile that out-gasses at least a portion of a residual solvent. The method may include an incubation bake cycle to distribute anti stiction material to display elements within the EMS package. The incubation bake cycle may also more evenly distribute contaminants within the EMS package so as to reduce their effects.

    Abstract: The present invention is an apparatus and method for accurately determining the position of a tool, for example an earthmoving bucket, mounted at the end of an arm which has a plurality of pivot points and is pivotally attached to the base of a machine, for example a piece of construction equipment like the platform of an excavator or other earthmoving machine. The present apparatus includes a plurality of reflectors mounted on the machine for indicating movement of the arm and the tool. Each reflector is operatively adapted for reflecting light back toward a light source. A light transceiver is mounted on the machine in a known relationship to the reflectors. The light transceiver is operatively adapted for transmitting a beam of light to illuminate each of the reflectors, thereby generating reflective light. The light transceiver detects the reflective light and the angular orientation of the reflective light it detects.
