    Abstract: The present invention relates to a process (100) for sterilization of prefilled containers in an autoclave chamber (1) and comprises a sterilization phase (102) and a cooling phase (103). The sterilization phase (102) comprises sterilizing prefilled containers at a temperature in the range of from 105 to 140° C. during a time sufficient to sterilize the content of said containers. Furthermore, the present invention relates to an autoclave for use in a process for sterilization of prefilled containers.
