    Abstract: The present invention relates to extensible roof structures for an automobile to provide a sun shade and snowshield over the windshield, side windows and rear window. The structure comprises a roof enclosure attachable to an automobile top which provides a hollow space housing slideable panels and a drive mechanism therefor. Actuation of the drive mechanism extends and retracts the panels through openings in the roof enclosure.
