  • Patent number: 11773929
Abstract: A brake dust particle filter for a disc brake assembly is provided to catch particles generated during braking. The brake dust particle filter has a ring segment-shaped housing with two axially spaced apart housing side walls and a radially outwardly positioned housing peripheral wall. The housing peripheral wall is arranged between the housing side walls. The housing accommodates the brake disc in the housing interior. A tongue projects inwardly away from the housing peripheral wall in the housing interior. The tongue projects at least in sections with a radial component and has a flat cross section with a base surface facing the housing peripheral wall, an end face projecting into the housing interior, and a side face. The tongue is formed by a filter medium and has no supporting device components separate from the filter medium. The filter medium provides a satisfactory stiffness keeping the tongue structurally stiff.

  • Publication number: 20220252118
Abstract: A brake dust particle filter assembly has a brake dust particle filter with a ring segment-shaped housing receiving a brake disc of the disc brake assembly. The housing has two axially spaced apart housing sidewalls and a housing circumferential wall between the housing sidewalls. A filter element is arranged in the housing. A holding component that holds the brake dust particle filter in installed position is stationary relative to the disc brake assembly. Holding component and housing are fixed to each other directly by mutual engagement in the installed position, at least in relation to an angular position and/or a radial position of holding component and housing relative to each other. The mutual engagement is by form fit of a male connection geometry with a corresponding female connection geometry. The male connection geometry is provided at the holding component and the female connection geometry at the housing, or vice versa.

  • Publication number: 20220042559
Abstract: A brake disc arrangement has a brake disc and a brake caliper arranged at the brake disc. A brake caliper holder is provided. One or more bearing bolts hold the brake caliper at the brake caliper holder. A brake dust particle filter is provided with a filter housing. The filter housing of the brake dust particle filter is fixedly connected by the one or more bearing bolts to the brake caliper or to the brake caliper holder.
