  • Publication number: 20240328507
Abstract: A traction drive system for a work machine, including at least one electric motor, a transmission, and a controller. The controller is configured to select a gear ratio of the transmission depending on a change to be expected in a motor output of the at least one electric motor. The change to be expected in the motor output is conditional on a change in the gear ratio of the transmission. The change to be expected in the motor output is determined on the basis of at least one operating parameter of the work machine.

  • Publication number: 20240243684
Abstract: A method for controlling an active short circuit in a permanent magnet excited electric machine, the method including checking if an activating of the active short circuit is requested, registering at least one further state parameter of the electric machine, determining, if the active short circuit is requested in the step of checking, if the at least one further state parameter has a critical value, and controlling the activating of the active short circuit as a function of the determining by sending a control signal to a device for short circuiting.

  • Patent number: 11607941
Abstract: A propulsion drive system for a mobile machine includes an electric motor having a first range, in which a torque is constant as a rotational speed rises, and a second range, in which a power is constant as the rotational speed rises. The propulsion drive system further includes a transmission operatively connected mechanically to the electric motor. The propulsion drive system is configured to be transferred, via the transmission, from a state for relatively low driving speeds into a state for relatively high driving speeds of the mobile machine. The electric motor and the transmission are adapted to one another in such a way that the electric motor can be operated in the state for relatively low driving speeds exclusively in the first and second range.

  • Patent number: 11518191
Abstract: A drive axle for a work machine for driving wheels that are coupled to the drive axle. The drive axle includes a spur gear stage with an input shaft. A differential gear unit couples to the spur gear stage and to the wheels via wheel drive shafts. The drive axle further includes a reduction gear unit with an output element couples to the input shaft of the spur gear stage—and an input element which couples to an output shaft of an electric drive machine.

  • Publication number: 20220186468
Abstract: The disclosure relates to a method for operating a drive train for a working machine, in which a working drive of the working machine is driven by a first electric motor via a first gear arrangement, a travel drive of the working machine is driven by a second electric motor via a second gear arrangement and, in a shifting procedure of the second gear arrangement, the rotational speed of the second electric motor is synchronised and the temperature of said second electric motor is recorded. In the disclosed method, the rotational speed is synchronised by supplying current to the second electric motor, and in the event of a threshold temperature being exceeded, at least one measure is carried out to relieve the thermal load of the second electric motor. The disclosure further relates to a corresponding drive train and to a working machine.
