Patent number: 10247312Abstract: A disposable device for the sterile transfer of fluids, such as liquids or gases, includes a body, a bore formed through at least a portion of the interior of the body, and a linearly moveable plunger contained within the bore. The body is formed from a rotating section and a stationary section. Partial rotation of the rotating section around a portion of the stationary section and the plunger drives the plunger linearly within the bore, opening and closing the device. The plunger includes at least a first and a second opening, and a fluid channel in the interior of the plunger connecting the first and second openings forming a fluid pathway to downstream components when the device is open. A termination component at one end of the plunger connects to a downstream component. A flange at one end of the body attaches to an upstream component.Type: GrantFiled: March 28, 2016Date of Patent: April 2, 2019Assignee: EMD Millipore CorporationInventors: Jeff Hartnett, Alf Lofving, Lars Hultquist, Jan Davidsson, Lennart Myhrberg

Patent number: 9120465Abstract: A vehicle fluid filling arrangement comprises a fluid receiving part and a fluid conveying arrangement adapted to convey a vehicle fluid supplied on the fluid receiving part into a fluid reservoir of a vehicle. The fluid receiving part comprises a fluid receiving surface which is adapted to directly receive the supplied fluid and to direct the fluid to the fluid conveying arrangement, wherein the fluid receiving part has a first retracted position where supply of fluid on the fluid receiving surface is not possible and a second extracted position where supply of fluid on the fluid receiving surface is possible. The disclosure also relates to an assembly for filling vehicle fluid comprising at least two of said fluid filling arrangements and also to a vehicle comprising said fluid filling arrangement.Type: GrantFiled: February 11, 2014Date of Patent: September 1, 2015Assignee: VOLVO CAR CORPORATIONInventors: Gabriel Uyanik, Tommy Zippert, Martin Gottschalk, Jan Davidsson

Patent number: 9027604Abstract: The present invention relates to sealing means made of a plastically deformable material for mechanical sealing of hollow hoses (2) of elastic material by means of an appliance having at least two jaws, at least one of which is movable towards and away from the other and which, when moving towards each other, crimp the sealing means against the hose (2) for contamination-tight sealing of the same, the sealing means (20) comprises at least one sealing member (4, 4?; 44, 44?; 64, 64?; 74, 74?; 84), which has two opposite ends and an opening (40, 40?) that extends between said ends to allow the at least one sealing member to be slipped onto the hose (2) to be sealed. The present invention also relates to a kit comprising a sealing means and an appliance for sealing of hollow hoses and to a method for mechanical sealing of hollow hoses.Type: GrantFiled: August 1, 2011Date of Patent: May 12, 2015Assignee: EMD Millipore CorporationInventors: Alf Lofving, Jan Davidsson, Anders Karlsson
