  • Patent number: 6062450
Abstract: A mechanism for releasably fixing a bicycle's fork upon a support. The mechanism includes a bicycle fork anchor having a fork pinching assembly that has two bicycle fork prong receiving portions. A handle is operably coupled to, or associated with the fork pinching assembly for configuring the fork pinching assembly between a bicycle fork pre-pinched position and a bicycle fork pinch-secured position. Also, the handle is located between the fork prong receiving portions. Supplementarily, an adjustable mounting may be included for permitting the bicycle fork anchor to be canted to a side within a substantially horizontal plane thereby turning the handle bars of a bicycle that is secured upon the bicycle fork anchor.

  • Patent number: 5875947
Abstract: A mechanism for releasably fixing a bicycle's fork upon a support such as a vehicular load carrier or a storage mount. The mechanism includes a pair of skewers (123) that are at least partially received within a bicycle fork anchor (100) and the skewers (123) are movable one skewer (125) relative to the other skewer (130). The pair of skewers (123) are configured for fixing a bicycle's fork to the anchor (100). Each skewer (125,130) of the pair (123) is operable between a bicycle fork pre-pinched position and a bicycle fork pinch-secured position. Each skewer (125) of the skewer pair (123) is longitudinally aligned with the other skewer pair (130) and the skewers (125,130) are spaced apart from one another in at least one of the two positions. At least one handle (110) is coupled to the bicycle fork anchor (100) for operating at least one skewer (125,130) of the skewer pair (123) between the bicycle fork pre-pinched position and the bicycle fork pinch-secured position.

  • Patent number: 5801204
Abstract: Waste plastic material is treated so as to make possible its utilization as a binder component in road surfacing materials, as a fuel, or for other desirable purposes. The waste plastic material is made at least partially fluid by mixing it with a solvent. The solvent is waste fats produced in refining or by treating animal and/or vegetable fats, crude fatty acids obtained as byproducts of refining fats, or fatty acids or pitch obtained by distilling hydrolyzed fats. The solvent is typically mixed with waste plastic material in the ratio of less than 1:2, preferably about 1:3, and at a temperature of between about 150.degree.-250.degree. C.

  • Patent number: 5275633
Abstract: A cutting body is formed of compacted powder and has a lower side provided with a recess and a spaced protrusion. The body can be used as a cutting insert, or two identical such bodies can be sintered together to form an invertible cutting insert. Voids can be formed within the insert to contain sensors or conduct cooling fluid.

  • Patent number: 4801253
Abstract: Instead of a hand-operated oil pump for supplying extra oil to the chain of a motor saw, two pumps according to the invention are disposed on the same shaft. The first one works always, while the second one can be switched on and off. The switching is effected by choking the feed of oil partly or completely to the second one. Both the pumps are controllable by decreasing the piston stroke.

  • Patent number: 4572373
Abstract: A pileable cup provided with a lid, particularly intended for portioning medicine in solid state, consists of an outer wall conically tapering from an open bottom, the outer wall at an upper edge being folded into an inner wall conically tapering towards the open bottom, which inner wall merges into a closed bottom which is spaced apart from said open bottom inside the outer wall. The lid abuts adhesively but removeably against said upper edge and forms together with the inner wall and the closed bottom a space for the medicine. Inside the upper edge the lid is provided with an underlayer of a non-adhesive material. The lid preferably consists of a layer of white paper provided with an adhesive material and an underpaper which can be silicone-treated. Data of patients and kinds of medicine can easily and quickly be printed or otherwise marked on the lids.
