  • Patent number: 9270020
Abstract: The invention provides an antenna arrangement for a radar system arranged for coverage of a surveillance area and comprising antenna elements. The antenna elements are arranged to receive a signal transmitted from a transmit antenna of a transmit antenna arrangement and reflected by a target towards the antenna arrangement wherein: • the antenna arrangement comprises at least two non-parallel line arrays, • each antenna element being connected to a receiver where each line array is arranged to create, by using digital beam forming, beams for instantaneous coverage of at least said surveillance area and • within the surveillance area said line arrays are arranged to allow the target position to be limited to one or two crossing areas between at least two beams from different line arrays from which target reflections have been received. The invention also provides a corresponding method and a radar system comprising the antenna arrangement.

  • Patent number: 6132431
Abstract: A device for correcting and stabilizing a curvature of a spinal column by anterior fusion including at least two brace holders (1-5), each adapted to be arranged against an associated vertebral body (7-11) in the spinal column. The device also includes a securing means (6, 6') for securing the respective brace holders (1-5) on said vertebral body (7-11), and at least one elongate brace (12), which is adapted to extend through and between said brace holders (1-5) along the extent of the spinal column and be locked thereto. The brace (12) is plate-shaped, and the brace holder (1-5) is designed to support the brace (12) in such a manner that a first flat side of the brace (12) faces the abutment surface of the brace holder (1-5) on said vertebral body (7-11), whereby the brace (12) is deformable in only one geometric plane during mounting in the brace holder (1-5) and during correction.

  • Patent number: 4430140
Abstract: In the packaging field certain types of packages are manufactured from pre-shaped, cylindrical casings made from a heat-shrinkable laminate. The casings are formed by winding a material sheet around a mandrel and subsequent sealing together of the overlapping ends of the sheet. However, because of the stiffness of the material the leading end of the sheet protrudes tangentially from the mandrel during the winding and prevents an accurate adaptation of the material sheet to the surface of the mandrel.According to the method and arrangement of this invention this disadvantage is avoided in that the leading end of the sheet is pre-heated on the side facing the mandrel to such a degree, that the shrinking is initialled. The shrinking of one side only results in that the leading end of the material sheet is given a curved shape with a radius that coincides with the radius of the mandrel, and consequently the leading end is no longer an obstacle to the winding.
