  • Patent number: 8463229
Abstract: A system for managing wireless communication in view of other potentially interfering wireless signal sources. Signal-related information may be collected from one or more apparatuses that are participating in a network. The information may then be evaluated in order to determine expected signal activity in the environment in which the apparatuses are operating. In some instances the signal activity may then be compared to a scan schedule utilized, for example, to identify legacy apparatuses operating in the environment. This scan schedule may be altered to avoid potential conflicts that may exist with the expected signal activity. The scan schedule may then be communicated to the networked apparatuses.

  • Publication number: 20100098247
Abstract: A method, apparatus and computer program product are provided that relate to encryption and authentication techniques. An apparatus may include a processor configured to define a generic key counter. The processor may also be configured to generate an encryption key at least partially based upon the generic key counter. The processor may also be configured to generate an authentication code key that is at least partially based upon the same generic key counter. The processor may further be configured to update the encryption key and the authentication code in accordance with a common time schedule. A corresponding method and computer program product may also be provided.

  • Patent number: 6711141
Abstract: A method to control the PDP context of a data packet and a mobile station to realise the method. The mobile station comprises a control element, which controls the classification of a data packet to be sent to a PDP context on basis of a first and a second identifier. The first identifier indicates the application that has created the data packet and the second identifier indicates a separate data flow of the application. The classification process is simplified and thus better suited to a mobile station with limited performance capacity.
