  • Patent number: 10426876
Abstract: The invention relates to a breast pump kit comprising a breast pump collection system which is to be replaceable and detachable connected to an electrical driving unit during use. The breast pump collection system comprises a breast shield for placing on a breast of a user, a pump unit, and tubing connecting the breast shield to the pump unit. The pump unit comprises a compartment of a variable volume in fluid connection to the exterior only via the tubing. The pump unit is configured to be detachable combined to the driving unit such that a driving motion of the driving unit acts to alternatingly expand and contract the compartment of the pump unit. In this way the pump unit creates alternating suction and pressure in the breast shield and at the breast of the user when in use. The invention further relates to a breast pump collection system for use in such breast pump kit.

  • Publication number: 20180199744
Abstract: A device for aiding in taking on and off a glove of an elastic material from a hand of a user. The opening of the glove is reinforced by a flexible collar. The device includes a container with an opening for receiving the glove and hand, and with a circumferential rim for supporting the collar such that the container and glove inserted into the container form a closed compartment. The container has a bellow to change the volume and pressure within the container. A vent in the container is opened by the hand from within the compartment for removing any under pressure when the container volume is increased, such that the hand inserted in a glove can be easily withdrawn from the compartment. A method of manufacturing a glove for use in such device is also provided.

  • Publication number: 20150004034
Abstract: The invention relates to a tube pump including an at least partly flexible tube and a pump element inserted in the tube, where the pump element comprises no more than one non-return valve member and a flow blocking member positioned a distance apart on a rod element. The non-return valve member is oriented on the rod element so as to allow for a fluid flow in the tube through the valve member along the rod element in the direction towards the flow blocking member. The flow blocking member is in a closed configuration placed to block the tube by engaging with the tube walls, and is in an open configuration configured to deform by a deformation of the tube such as to allow for fluid passage. The flow blocking member further is configured to attain its closed configuration when not opened by the tube deformation.

  • Publication number: 20140135697
Abstract: A disposable cassette (1) is disclosed having an inlet port (4), an outlet port (5), and a heat exchanger element (3) with a fluid flow channel (9, 10, 15, 29) defined therein, the element being configured for conductive heat transfer between an exterior source and liquid in the fluid flow channel through at least one wall member of the heat exchanger element. The average cross sectional area of the outlet part of the fluid flow channel is substantially smaller than the average cross sectional area of the inlet part of the fluid flow channel. Furthermore is disclosed an assembly for connecting a source of intravenous fluid to a patient, the assembly comprising a sealed sterile packaging enclosing the disposable cassette, a first tube for connecting said source of intravenous fluid to the inlet port of the disposable cassette, and a second tube for connecting the outlet port of the disposable cassette to an intravenous catheter.

  • Publication number: 20130108477
Abstract: The invention relates to a tube pump comprising a tube and a pump element inserted in the tube, where the pump element comprises a rod element and a first and a second non-return valve member positioned a distance apart on the rod element. The valve members are oriented in the same direction relative to the rod element so as to allow for a fluid flow in the tube through the first valve member, along the rod element, and through the second valve member. The tube comprises an at least partly flexible tube portion between the valve members such that a repeated deformation of the flexible tube portion acts to alternately close and open the valve members thereby generating a fluid flow through the tube.

  • Publication number: 20080281268
Abstract: A system is disclosed for heating a flow of intravenous fluid comprising an intravenous tube (3) for connecting a source of intravenous fluid to an intravenous catheter (9), the intravenous tube comprising heating means (21) integrated therein for raising the temperature of the intravenous flow in the tube and a portable unit (2) comprising the energy source for providing electrical power to the heating means integral with a pump (5) for controlling the flow of the fluid. Hereby is provided a path between a source of intravenous fluid and an intravenous catheter ensured to be highly hygienic, because the number of connections wherein the flow of intravenous fluid can be contaminated is limited to a minimum as compared to other systems with multiple connections to external units.
