  • Patent number: 5730355
Abstract: An infant incubator in which the heater for heating the air circulated through the incubator and the speed of the fan which forces air across the heater to circulate through the incubator are controlled to increase the temperature of the heated air and delivery of the heated air to the space in which an infant has been placed for treatment when an access door of the incubator has been opened. The increase in temperature and delivery of the heated air is caused by a sensor which senses when the access door is opened.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: August 27, 1996
Date of Patent: March 24, 1998
    Assignee: Air-Shields, Inc.
Inventors: Joseph J. Lessard, Robert M. McDonough, Jan F. Wenstrup, Peter Schumann
  • Patent number: 5285519
Abstract: A radiant heater in the form of an overlay for an incubator hood. The heater has an optically transparent, radiotransparent and phototherapy transparent electrically conductive coating, preferably indium tin oxide, and includes appropriate retaining hook structure for retaining the heater on an incubator hood.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: March 6, 1992
Date of Patent: February 8, 1994
    Assignee: Air-Shields, Inc.
Inventors: Barry E. Barsky, Joseph P. Bagnell, Jan F. Wenstrup
  • Patent number: 5119467
Abstract: A radiant heater is provided, which can be in the form of an overlay on an existing incubator hood or integrated in an incubator hood. The heater has an optically transparent, radiotransparent and phototherapy transparent electrically conductive coating, preferably indium tin oxide.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: August 2, 1990
Date of Patent: June 2, 1992
    Assignee: Air-Shields, Inc.
Inventors: Barry E. Barsky, Joseph P. Bagnell, Jan F. Wenstrup
  • Patent number: 4472117
Abstract: Infusion pumping apparatus having means for releasing back pressures which can develop in an infusion tube (18) through which fluid is being driven. When an excessive back pressure is developed, the infusion tube expands into a peripheral groove (43) on a drive roller (38) carried at the periphery of a rotor body (20).
    Type: Grant
    Filed: March 1, 1982
Date of Patent: September 18, 1984
    Assignee: Air-Shields, Inc.
    Inventor: Jan F. Wenstrup
  • Patent number: 4472116
Abstract: Infusion pumping apparatus having shaped rotor fingers (22, 24, 26) which pick up an infusion tube (18) as the rotor (20) rotates to load the tube in the pumping apparatus automatically.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: March 1, 1982
Date of Patent: September 18, 1984
    Assignee: Air-Shields, Inc.
