  • Patent number: 7185752
Abstract: An apparatus for continuously grouping or marshalling objects together on a conveyor includes the conveyor being divided into a first and a second conveyor section, where the second conveyor section has a higher speed than the first conveyor section. The conveyor sections have a common plane on which the objects are advanced. The conveyor sections each have two bending rollers in the common plane, each of which have a bending roller lying closely adjacent one another. Between the rollers placed adjacent one another is disposed an arrest member. The arrest member is movable through 90 degrees in relation to the common plane. The arrest member is moreover, together with the bending rollers, displaceable along the common plane.

  • Publication number: 20050011729
Abstract: The invention relates to an apparatus for continuously grouping or marshalling objects (1) together on a conveyor. The conveyor is divided into a first (2) and a second (3) conveyor section, where the second conveyor section (3) has a higher speed than the first conveyor section (2). The conveyor sections (2, 3) have a common plane (4) on which the objects (1) are advanced. The conveyor sections (2, 3) each have two bending rollers (6, 7, 10, 11) in the common plane (4), of which each having a bending roller (6, 7) lying placed closely adjacent one another. Between the rollers (6, 7) placed adjacent one another, theme is disposed an arrest memeber (18). The arrest member (18) is movable through 90o in relation to the common plane (4). The arrest member (18) is moreover, together with the bending rollers (6,7), laterally displaceable along the common plane (4).

  • Patent number: 6748720
Abstract: The disclosure relates to an apparatus in distribution equipment. The distribution equipment is of the type which marshals or groups together a number of objects into a unit and surrounds this unit with a continuous paperboard sheet. The paperboard sheet is folded in and glued along the one longitudinal side of the unit. The apparatus includes two cam curves which are disposed substantially parallel. The apparatus further includes an endless, driven chain which is parallel with the cam curves and on which a number of carriers are disposed. Each carrier consists of at least one inward folder and one hold-down device. The inward folder is disposed to follow the first cam curve and the hold-down device is disposed to follow the second cam curve.

  • Patent number: 5474628
Abstract: The invention relates to a method of distributing opening devices and preparing the opening devices for application individually to a packaging containers. The opening devices are positioned, closed and marshalled together to form a web or a sheet. The prefabricated opening devices are arranged in rows of length x. Two or more of the opening devices in each row are provided with projections which are placed against corresponding opening devices in a neighboring row and are welded together using ultrasonic means.

  • Patent number: 5439094
Abstract: The invention relates to an apparatus for grouping objects in which objects on an ingoing conveyor are released in preselected numbers by a brake. The preselected number of objects pass one or two pushers which are arranged such that they execute a movement that is both transverse relative to the direction of an outgoing conveyor and synchronous with the outgoing conveyor. Where two pushers are used, they move in sequence so that a first pusher groups objects first, followed by the second pusher, and then both pushers remain in their position of rest, and the objects are grouped in three different rows on the outgoing conveyor.

  • Patent number: 5020304
Abstract: A machine for loading articles such as milk cartons in a crate and stacking the crates for transport is described. The crate has folding sides. A supply of crates stacked in folded condition is introduced into the machine. The crates are removed individually from the stack by the machine, the sides are raised, and the crates are arranged vertically on a conveyor in preparation to receive the filled cartons. Cartons are inserted into a crate, which is then banded by a plastic strip, and the crate is placed in a stack with other crates that have been filled with cartons. The stack of filled crates is then unloaded from the machine.

  • Patent number: 4903458
Abstract: An apparatus for attaching drinking straws to a container includes a conveyor track for advancing containers and a rotating drum having a plurality of receiving areas located around its outer periphery for receiving the drinking straws. An applicator is provided for applying a bonding agent to the side wall of the containers. A device for transferring the drinking straws form the receiving areas on the drum to the side wall of the container after the bonding agent has been applied is also provided. After the drinking straws are attached to the side wall of the container, a device folds the drinking straws so that the drinking straw does not project beyond the edge of the container.

  • Patent number: 4778053
Abstract: A weblike package for suction tubes (1) comprising two straight tube parts (1a and 1b) which are joined flexibly by means of a bellows-folded, tubular intermediate part (1c). The package (2) comprises two flexible material webs which are joined to one another by repeated longitudinal and transversal sealing joints (6 and 7) which in pairs jointly form closed spaces (8) wherein suction tubes (1) are arranged. The suction tubes (1) are oriented straight with the free ends (1a' and 1b') of both their straight tube parts (1a and 1b) directed away from one another towards the longitudinal edges (5 and 5') of the material webs.

  • Patent number: 4584819
Abstract: The disclosure relates to an apparatus for applying objects such as spoons or suction tubes diagonally to a side wall of a packing container. As the containers are advanced by a conveyor, a carriage reciprocates adjacent the conveyor. A rotary drum is mounted on an inclined axle on the carriage. The objects are supplied to the drum in the form of a band in which the objects are spaced apart. The drum holds the individual objects while they are severed from the band by a reciprocating knife. Rotation of drum positions each object in a correct angular position with respect to the side wall of the container. An adhesive applicator is also positioned on the carriage to apply adhesive to the side wall of the container. A transfer arm applies the object against the side wall of the container where it is retained by the adhesive.
