Abstract: Method for monitoring, evaluating and improving the conditions for employees of a business with a noisy environment. The method comprises creating records in a computer database, the records representing employees. Information is stored relating to a job function of a respective employee; an experienced noise level on the respective job floor of said employee; a measured effectiveness of hearing protectors worn by said employee; a measured hearing capacity of said employee. A list of employees is provided in need of improved hearing protection having an experienced noise level that is higher than a pre-selected value or wearing a hearing protector with an effectiveness that is lower than a pre-selected value. A list of employees is provided having a hearing capacity that is less than a pre-selected value and an overview is provided of measured noise levels and hearing capacities of screened employees.
