  • Patent number: 10819185
Abstract: A hand-held power tool includes an electrical motor unit which includes a stator and a rotor arranged concentrically outside the stator, wherein a heat pipe is arranged with a first end inside the stator, thermally connected to the stator, and a second end reaching outside of the stator and thermally connected to a cooling device having a heat sink for cooling the second end of the heat pipe. The heat pipe includes a phase changing fluid for transporting heat from the first end to the second end to be dissipated at the cooling device. A fan is arranged to provide a cooling air stream to the heat sink and the fan is arranged to provide a cooling air stream to the heat sink independently of an operation of the motor unit.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: June 14, 2017
Date of Patent: October 27, 2020
Assignee: ATLAS COPCO INDUSTRIAL TECHNIQUE AB
Inventors: Erik Markus Peder Kviberg, Göran Sivert Lantz, Jan Hans Tolly Lewerentz, Hans Niklas Öberg

  • Patent number: 9933283
Abstract: A displacement sensor for a power tool includes: a stator element, having a first conductive pattern, and a rotor element, having a second conductive pattern, for relative movement along a measurement path, wherein the first and second conductive patterns are mutually inductively coupled so that the first conductive pattern receives an excitation signal and the second conductive pattern generates an intermediate signal. The intermediate signal indicates relative displacement between the stator and rotor elements, wherein the excitation signal is a constant amplitude high-frequency signal. A signal processor circuit receives and processes a single phase receive signal corresponding to the intermediate signal to provide an output signal indicating relative displacement between the rotor and stator elements.
