  • Patent number: 12059829
Abstract: A method that combines injection molding and extrusion is disclosed. First, a molten material is injected into a mold via an injection gate, the mold comprising a first portion and a second portion. Next, additional molten material is injected via the injection gate and pushed through an extrusion die located in the first portion of the mold and the second portion is separated from the first portion. In embodiments, the second portion is separated from the first portion before the additional material is injected. In other embodiments, the second portion is separated from the first portion simultaneously with the additional material being injected. The method may be used to produce longer and thinner parts with detailed features, such as catheters.

  • Patent number: 10721083
Abstract: Power is supplied to telecom equipment in DSLAM outdoor/remote cabinets with relatively short distances between the subscriber and the cabinet. All of the subscriber Customer Premises Equipment connected to the DSLAM each provide a portion of the required power to the remote cabinet via the telephone line connecting the DSLAM and the subscriber CPE. The CPE at the subscriber premises is already connected to power mains in the subscriber premises so, providing power, via the telephone line to the outdoor cabinet is relatively simple. The remote cabinet includes a circuit for receiving the power input from each subscriber and then distributing the power, required by the DSLAM load, equally among the subscribers.

  • Patent number: 7742536
Abstract: The present application describes a method for transmitting data through a MIMO-OFDM system which requires the computation of a function f(H(sk)), where H is the channel matrix and sk=exp(j*2*pi*k/N). The method splits function f into a first, nonpolynomial part, which is in turn a function of one or more polynomial functions in sk.

  • Publication number: 20080096681
Abstract: An arrangement for playing miniature golf. Arranged over a part of a shortened miniature golf course is a display surface for the projection of an image of the entire extent of a miniature golf course. Arranged along a ball rolling surface of the shortened miniature golf course is a plurality of sensors that are arranged to sense the direction in which and the speed at which a ball is struck by a player, and to cause that information to be recorded. A computer is arranged to receive and record the ball movement information and to process the information for display on the display surface to show the estimated continued travel of the ball on the course. A golf ball return is arranged to return the ball to the tee for further driving or further putting on the virtual miniature golf course.
