  • Patent number: 11491415
Abstract: A connector element for a construction system, the construction system having first and second construction elements. The first type of construction elements comprising at least one construction element having connector knobs formed on a surface thereof and arranged in a regular two-dimensional lattice. The second type of construction elements comprising at least one construction element configured to cooperate with a connector peg to form a snap connection. The connector element comprising an elongate body having first and second ends and a longitudinal axis (A1). The first end having a first cylindrical connector portion, having an inner surface configured to form a friction fit, and an outer surface configured to form a friction fit between four neighbouring connector knobs formed on a first type of construction element. A second cylindrical connector portion configured to form a snap connection with the cylindrical connector opening of the second type of construction elements.

  • Patent number: 6109997
Abstract: A toy building set comprising a number of transmission elements in the form of a plurality of shafts and a plurality of toothed wheels, and a number of supporting elements for embedding of said transmission elements; and wherein the shafts have shaft extremities that are provided with splines in the form of a number of grooves spaced equally apart for mounting of one or more toothed wheels; and said toothed wheels having a central opening for receiving the spline of the shaft; and wherein the central opening on the toothed wheels is configured with one or more protruding flanges that engage with one or more of the grooves on the spline of the shaft with a view to ensuring that a toothed wheel mounted on a shaft is unable to rotate relative to the shaft; and wherein the toothed wheels are provided with a number of teeth that corresponds to or is equal to an entire multiple of the number of grooves on the spline of the shaft which makes it very easy to correctly mount the toothed wheels on the associated shafts

  • Patent number: 5902168
Abstract: A coupling element for releasable retention of an end of an elongate pull element has a cavity to receive said end. The pull element is formed with a constriction and the coupling element with a corresponding cavity. The pull element may be inserted unobstructedly and subsequently be locked by moving a movable portion, e.g. in the form of a hinged portion, into a locking position in which, in combination with the cavity, it establishes releasable locking of the pull element.

  • Patent number: 5687610
Abstract: A toy gear box has two driven shafts which are rotationally tied to each other, and selectable gear wheel transmissions for transmitting rotational energy from driven shafts to a driving shaft, and claw clutches for selection of gear wheel transmission. Each of the driven shafts has a driving ring with guide grooves in positions opposite each other so that a gear lever can directly engage the guide grooves to axially displace the driving rings to engage claw clutches for selection of gear wheel transmission. The clutch parts of the claw clutch have claws which have a considerably smaller width than the gaps between the claws in the coupling region.

  • Patent number: 5360364
Abstract: A cardan joint is provided for transmitting rotation between first and second parts of a toy building set. A first rotating part consists of a shaft having a coupler head at one end in the form of flaps which project radially outwardly with respect to the shaft axis and which form spherical segments of a cardan ball. A second rotating part includes a cavity into which the coupling head of the first part fits. Carrier pins extend radially inwardly into the cavity to mesh between and be displaced along the flaps so that the coupler head with the flap may be tiltable about at least one pin.
