  • Publication number: 20230268538
Abstract: A hydrogen production system comprises a hydrogen pyrolysis reactor which has a hydrocarbon input, an electrical input and at least one hydrogen output. The hydrogen production system also comprises a hydrogen-fuelled generator. Means are provided to route part of the hydrogen from one of the at least one hydrogen outputs to the hydrogen-fuelled generator. The hydrogen-fuelled generator then generates an electrical output, which is routed to the electrical input of the hydrocarbon pyrolysis reactor. A related method of operating a hydrogen production system is also described.

  • Publication number: 20130259731
Abstract: This invention relates to rotary compressors, pumps, motors and thermodynamic engines, and in essence consists of a central rotor and two rockers contained in a housing creating eight variable volumes. By the use of the construction described herein each volume remains sealed from the others during rotation of the rotor, with the contact zones moving along the surface of the rockers. Described is a way to construct the rockers and the rotor, including asymmetric and non-elliptic rotors. A HCCI engine is shown in the drawings with 4×250 cc chambers measuring approximately 50×40×30 cm and a total weight of under 50 kg. As example of a compressor a similar design is shown with 4 main chambers and 4 auxiliary out-of-phase chambers, which could also be applied as steam or Stirling engine. By concatenating sections an all-metal non-Moineau progressive cavity pump can be created with low vibrations and great sturdiness.

  • Publication number: 20130224053
Abstract: This invention relates a progressive cavity pump with a central feed-through for supplying steam, gas or liquids to the supply side of the pump. For the oil industry this invention enables single well stimulation. Steam can be supplied from the surface to the production zone or below through the central feed-through, heating or pressurizing oil and the surrounding formation, and facilitating production. In heavy oil fields solvents can be pumped down as well. Oil can be pumped up by the progressive cavity pump through the annulus of the connecting coaxial pipe.

  • Patent number: 5888096
Abstract: A shielded electrical connector having a housing and a cover each of which are formed by inmoulding an insulative portion respectively within a respective outer shield portion. Terminals are mounted within the housing and the housing and cover are joined together. Shielding characteristics are improved by a carrier strip interconnecting the shielding of adjacent connectors within a connector stack. Further shielding improvements are recognized by incorporating a contact surface external the shielding for engaging an outer reference terminal. The connector includes terminals having a floatable contact portion and a support feature for preventing damage to the terminals as a result of stubbing with a mating terminal. The connector being impedance matched to the cable.
