  • Patent number: 8071999
Abstract: A flat lighting device includes a layer arrangement, anode and cathode contact regions. The layer arrangement includes an anode layer, a cathode layer, and an organic light-emitting layer arranged between the anode and cathode layers, the layer arrangement having a flat shape which is laterally bounded by an edge region. The anode contact regions contact the anode layer and are implemented along the edge region. The cathode contact regions contact the cathode layer and are implemented along the edge region. The flat shape has a rotational invariance toward rotation by discrete angles. The anode and cathode contact regions may be contacted from one side of the flat shape of the layer arrangement and are arranged to be laterally distributed over the edge region such that the lateral distribution of the anode and cathode contact regions is maintained upon rotation of the layer arrangement by the discrete angles.

  • Patent number: 7416246
Abstract: A motor vehicle roof having at least two laterally adjacent parts with respect to the motor vehicle's longitudinal axis when the parts are in a closed position. The laterally adjacent parts may be moved between the closed position and an open position by moving one or both of the laterally adjacent parts in a translational movement parallel to the longitudinal axis of the vehicle. The laterally adjacent parts are retained between and parallel to two side roof frames that are permanently connected to the body. The laterally adjacent parts may be moved to an open position above or below a rear roof panel. The rear roof panel extends across the vehicle in a transverse direction between the side roof frames and is movable in a longitudinal direction to a position above or below the laterally adjacent roof panels. A front roof panel may be provided that may be raised on a back edge to provide a wind deflector.

  • Patent number: 7237823
Abstract: An adjustable cover element in a vehicle is mounted to a vehicle component via a multiple linkage kinematic system comprising two guide rods. Each guide rod on one end is coupled in an articulated manner to the vehicle component and on the other end is coupled in an articulated manner to the cover element. One guide rod for the multiple linkage kinematic system has a two-part design and comprises two guide rod sections connected by an articulated joint. A stop is provided which during a relative motion between the cover element and the stop acts on a guide rod section in such a way that the angular position between the two guide rod sections changes.

  • Publication number: 20070057531
Abstract: A roof assembly for a vehicle having a steep-back design with an open body includes a roof having roof parts. A rod kinematic system is connected to the roof parts to move, upon actuation, the roof parts between a closed position of the roof in which the roof parts adjoin one another along a planar level to thereby cover the vehicle interior and a stored position of the roof in which the roof parts stack on top of one another to thereby expose the vehicle interior. The rod kinematic system connects one of the roof parts to a supporting base. An actuator is coupled to the rod kinematic system to actuate the rod kinematic system. A support is on one of the roof parts. The actuator is mounted on the support.
