  • Publication number: 20120157087
Abstract: A method and server for establishing a push to talk type service such as push to talk over cellular (PoC). The server receives a message from Client A indicating one or more media types that Client A will accept in defined circumstances in a push to talk type session. When the server receives a message from Client B inviting Client A to establish a push to talk type session for one or more proposed media types, the server determines whether the media type(s) proposed by Client B are acceptable to Client A. If at least one proposed media type is acceptable, the server forwards the invitation to Client A with a list of the acceptable media types. Thereafter the session is established.

  • Publication number: 20120148714
Abstract: The invention relates to a method of monitoring breaking of eggs by an egg breaking apparatus in a cyclic process, where eggs are broken using a plurality of egg breaking devices, each egg breaking device breaking one egg having shell and contents at a time and where the contents of each egg is collected in an egg receiving device, each egg receiving device receiving the contents of only one egg in each process cycle. An operator monitors the contents received in the egg receiving devices and identifies egg receiving devices containing abnormal contents using a pointing device. This identification is detected by a detection device and communicated to a reject mechanism, which causes the contents of the identified egg receiving device to be discharged into a rejected product receptacle. The detection device may be a remote sensor, an integrated part of the pointing device or a device located on each of the egg receiving devices.

  • Publication number: 20120120914
Abstract: A method of enabling the management of handovers of voice calls from a Packet Switched, PS, access to a Circuit Switched, CS, access where the voice calls are established using an IP Multimedia Subsystem, IMS, network. The method comprises performing a first IMS registration of a user via said PS access including setting for the user in a Home Subscriber Server, HSS, of the user's home network, an identifier of a first access transfer control function, which access transfer control function is responsible for anchoring user media sessions in an access transfer gateway of a serving network, and notifying a mobility function within said service network of the set identifier. A second or further IMS registration of the same user is then performed via said PS access, it being determined that said first IMS registration exists.

  • Patent number: 8166520
Abstract: A method of handling Invite messages for a multi-user communication session utilizing the IP Multimedia Subsystem to set up and control the session. Two or more access servers control user access. A first access server receives from a session-initiating user, an Invite that identifies as a potential participant, at least one user group which is owned by a second access server. The first access server sends to the second access server, an Invite that identifies the user group. The second server resolves the group identification into a set of group member identities and sends the identities in a response to the first access server. The first access server then sends Invites to at least some of the group members identified in the response.

  • Patent number: 8036608
Abstract: An apparatus and method for providing dynamic Push To over Cellular, PoC, service options in a wireless communication network. Service options and terminal capabilities for PoC Clients (11, 15) are stored in the network, preferably in a PoC Server (13). A PoC Client (11) uses a SIP PUBLISH message (17) to set the actual status of the answering mode and any barring service, and, if automatic answering mode is set, also stores a list of codecs that the PoC Client (11) supports. When the PcC Client is called, the calling PoC Client (15) informs the Server (13) of supported codecs, and the Server selects a codec supported by both Clients, thus optimizing the connection.

  • Publication number: 20110231558
Abstract: According to a first aspect of the present invention there is provided a method of establishing a Push-to-talk over Cellular (PoC) communication session between an inviting PoC client and at least one invited PoC client using an IP Multimedia Subsystem network. The method comprises using the pre-established session procedure to negotiate media parameters between the inviting PoC client and a participating PoC server for the inviting PoC client. At the inviting PoC client, sending a Talk Burst Control Protocol (TBCP) or Media Burst Control Protocol (MBCP) message directly to its participating PoC server, the TBCP or MBCP message containing the PoC address of the at least one invited PoC client. At said participating PoC Server, in response to receipt of the TBCP or MBCP message, generating a SIP INVITE message and sending the SIP INVITE message towards a participating PoC server for the at least one invited PoC client.

  • Patent number: 8000732
Abstract: A method and apparatus for processing a floor request in a push to talk type service in which a floor is required for a first terminal to distribute media to a second terminal. The first terminal sends a floor request message to a PoC Server. The message relates to at least two different types of media content and indicates how and to what extent the granting or denial of the different media types interrelate. The message may indicate, for example, that if a first media type is denied, the others should be denied; or that the granting or denial of the first media type should not affect the other media types. The message may also indicate other conditions and relationships. The PoC Server processes the request based on the indicated interrelationships and/or conditions, and grants or denies each media type.

  • Patent number: 7991417
Abstract: A method for use in a push to talk type service in which a floor is required before a client terminal may distribute a media item to at least one other terminal participating with the client terminal in a push to talk type session. According to the invention, the floor is managed depending upon information relating to the size of the media item, and may be managed depending upon other criteria as well. Managing the floor may include one or more of granting the floor, maintaining the floor, monitoring the floor, and releasing the floor. The floor may be denied, for example, if the media item is larger than a predetermined size, which size may be indicated as being within a range of sizes. The push to talk type service may be a general conferencing service.

  • Publication number: 20110092172
Abstract: A method of sending a communication to a Participant in a PoC Group Session. A PoC client sends a SIP REFER message to a PoC participating Server, which forwards it to a PoC Controlling Server. The SIP REFER message comprises an identity of a target Participant in the Group Session and a message content. The PoC Controlling Server creates a SIP MESSAGE method, the MESSAGE addressed to the target Participant and including the message content. The SIP MESSAGE is then sent to a target Participating Server that serves the target Participant. In this way, the PoC client can send private message content via the PoC Controlling Server to another Participant in a PoC Group Session without sending it to all Participants.

  • Publication number: 20100142372
Abstract: A method is disclosed for use in a Universal Mobile Telecommunications System network comprising an IP Multimedia Subsystem. The method comprises receiving node status information relating to a first node of the network which indicates an occurrence of an event associated with the first node, determining the existence of a network association established between the first node and a second node of the network that would be adversely affected by the occurrence of the event, and causing the network association to be terminated, thereby allowing a new network association between the first and second nodes to be established in its place.

  • Publication number: 20100111087
Abstract: A method and arrangement for handling a service request in a session control unit in a multimedia network. Upon receiving the service request from a user equipment, the session control unit checks a service profile associated with a user-identity of the service request in order to find an application server to which the service request is to be routed. Prior to routing the service request, an ensuring entity ensures the service request will include a primary user-identity. In the application server, the primary user-identity is used to find stored data, which is necessary for executing the requested service.

  • Publication number: 20090217826
Abstract: The invention relates to an egg breaking apparatus and a method of feeding eggs to an egg breaking apparatus, where eggs are fed to a plurality of egg breaking devices by means of a feed conveyor. Each egg breaking device receives one egg at a time and all egg breaking devices are mounted on a common drive conveyor, where the egg breaking devices are moved in relation to the feed conveyor in a first direction following a substantially vertical first axis at the area of the feed conveyor. The feed conveyor feeds eggs to the egg breaking devices along a substantially horizontal second axis. When near a position at the feed conveyor, the egg breaking devices are tilted about a third axis, which is substantially perpendicular to the first and second axes, in a second direction substantially opposite to said first direction.
