Abstract: A method, Call Agent (CA), and circuit-switched terminal for setting up a multimedia session from the circuit-switched terminal toward a packet-switched terminal in a telecommunication network. An Instant Messaging (IM) server receives an IM message from the circuit-switched terminal and forwards the contents of the IM message to the CA. The CA generates or retrieves a unique call token that identifies the terminals, and sends the call token to the IM server, which forwards the token to the circuit-switched terminal. In response, the circuit-switched terminal initiates setup of a circuit-switched call to an identified Media Gateway Controller (MGC). The MGC then sets up a packet-switched session with the packet-switched terminal to complete the setup of the multimedia session.

Abstract: Methods are described for providing conference calls. Methods are performed in a conference call system and includes: receiving local contact information for a plurality of contacts stored in a local phone book of a user equipment associated with a caller; updating a contact database of the conference call system based on the local contact information; registering the caller with an interactive voice response system of the conference call system; receiving a spoken request from the caller; accessing the contact database with contact information and retrieving a phone number responsive to the spoken request; calling the retrieved phone number; and establishing contact between the caller and a person associated with the retrieved phone number. Systems and computer readable mediums are also described.

Abstract: A method and arrangement for providing a ring-back presentation to a calling terminal after receiving a call setup request from the calling terminal for a first communication session with a called terminal. A second packet-based communication session is established with the calling terminal, independent of the first session, and pre-defined media content is provided as said ring-back presentation to the calling terminal over the second session. Thereby, ring-back presentations to waiting callers can be selected from a great range of media types, including visual media. A calling user can also control the playout or display of the ring-back presentation irrespective of when the call is answered.

Abstract: A service node in a telecommunication network is arranged to receive a Multi-Media video call setup for a terminal to be called. The called terminal is called by the service node according to either a video or a voice call setup, depending on a current allowed answer mode of the called terminal. Responding to the call setup will, depending on either answering or rejecting the call setup by the called terminal, and depending whether the call setup is for a voice or a video call, be handled by the service node according to a predetermined method. When a call setup is answered by the called terminal, the service node further supports a method of toggling between a video call and a voice call at the called terminal.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for providing shared media data in a communication network. A Video Content Call Server (VCC-S) receives a request message from a calling party requesting a video content call with a called party. The message includes information identifying the called party, and information identifying the video content. The VCC-S establishes a video content call between the calling party and the VCC-S, and a video content call between the called party and the VCC-S. The same video content is sent at substantially the same time from the VCC-S to both the calling party and the called party.
