  • Patent number: 4355394
Abstract: A laser device especially intended to generate ultrashort light pulses, wein the laser path is defined by an interferometer (I) providing substantially total reflection, a partial reflector (OM) for decoupling, and a stimulatable laser medium (D) between the interferometer and the partial reflector, the interferometer comprising a beam splitter (1, 2) through which the light pulses are transmitted substantially without loss to a total reflector (4, 5) which reflects the component beams back to the beam splitter, and a device (3) for varying the ratio of the path lengths travelled by the component beams between the beam splitter and the total reflector.

  • Patent number: 4329055
Abstract: An interferometer system for measuring the wavelength of laser light or and other optical radiation comprises an interferometer with a radiation input for a reference beam of a given wavelength, a sample radiation input for a sample beam of unknown wavelength, and a beam splitter for splitting up an incoming beam into two part-beams, and a system for changing the optical lengths of two part-beam optical paths as used by the reference beam and, parallel to it, the beam whose wavelength is to be measured. There is furthermore a detector for converting output beams from the interferometer into representative electrical signals and a signal processing circuit coupled to the detector means.Furthermore in the part-beam paths there is an optical part in the form of a parallelepipedic transparent body able to be rotated for the changing of the lengths of the paths of the beams in relation to each other, and a reflector system for reflecting back the part-beams, coming from the turning part, back into themselves.

  • Patent number: 4029417
Abstract: A reading device for a monochromator having an outlet slit of adjustable width and a light dispersing element which is adjustable in relation to the outlet slit to shift the spectrum in relation to the outlet slit, the reading device comprising a scale which is displaceable in relation to the adjustment of the light dispersing element with respect to the outlet slit and a transparent plate slidably mounted above the scale for movement in a direction perpendicular thereto. A sliding mechanism for adjusting the width of the outlet slit is connected to the plate through a suitable linkage such that the plate follows the movement of the adjustment of the width of the outlet slit. A system of pairs of curved lines are formed on the plate and the lines have curvatures such that at a determined position of the light dispersion element and a determined width of the slit they intersect the scale at points characterizing a monochromator spectrum transmittance curve.

  • Patent number: 4026650
Abstract: The device for correcting the color of a color film printing machine, equipped with three different optical filters which divide the diaphragm hole of an optical system condenser on three segments and two leaves, which partially stop down the filters; at the same time the leaves are suitably equipped with curved guides and pivot around points. Every pair of leaves is driven by a common lever equipped with a slide, which at the lever pivotal point, moves along guides. The linear increases of the lever turning angle is accompanied with a logarithmic increase of the filter-active field, for example, with a suitable radius of curvature, the guides, the length of lever, coordinates of the leaves', pivot points of lever, coordinates of pivot points of leaves, of the distance between the edge and the point of the leaves' pivot point, and coordinates which define the position of the guide curvature center in relation to the leaf edges.
