  • Patent number: 10487524
Abstract: A system and method are used for manipulation of a spa cover between a closed position, an open position, and a parking position, whereby the cover has a first carrier segment coupled to an actuator and a second carried segment rotatably connected to the first carrier segment. An axis of rotation of the first carrier segment is first raised from a resting position to an upper position, thereby raising the first carrier segment and creating a gap between the first carrier segment and an edge of the spa vessel. The first carrier segment is then rotated about the axis of rotation, which is situated outside of a ground plan of the spa. The second carried segment is pulled towards the first carrier segment as the first carrier segment is rotated. The first carrier segment is rotated to the open position wherein the segments are in a vertical position with their respective lower bearing surfaces facing each other.

  • Patent number: 10435899
Abstract: A spa includes a thermo-insulating cover having a carrier segment and a carried segment rotatably connected to each other along an axis or rotation, the carrier segment rotatably mounted along an axis of rotation on and above a plane of an edge of the spa. An accumulation member has a fixed portion mounted on the spa and a movable portion that transmits force to the carrier segment. A travelling wheel is mounted on each opposite side at a front end of the carried segment, the wheels having a circumference equal to a distance of the front end of the carried segment spaced from the edge of the spa in the open position of the cover.

  • Patent number: 6327888
Abstract: A transfer apparatus is proposed for transferring workpieces between die stations comprising a striker cam driver by a press ram, a rotary gear urged to rotate by the striker cam, a shaft extending from the rotary gear and characterized by a distal end, and a finger bar pivotally coupled to the distal end and assuming arcuate travel above the die stations in response to rotation of the rotary gear. The transfer apparatus can further comprise a linear cam including a slot, a pusher plate including a cam follower extending therefrom and disposed in the slot, moveable horizontally in response to vertical displacement of the linear cam, and a finger bar, moveable into and out of engagement with the workpieces, in response to the horizontal movement of the pusher plate.
