  • Publication number: 20230270711
Abstract: A composition for the promotion of alcohol and acetaldehyde degradation in a human is disclosed. The composition, which can be prepared by bringing all the ingredients together in intimate physical admixture, comprises an anti-hangover effective amount of: (a) essential herbs consisting of Ilex paraguarensis (Yerba mate), Eleutherococcus senticosus (Siberian ginseng), Panax ginseng and Zingiberis officinalis (ginger); and (b) one or more electrolyte(s) and, optionally, (c) sulphoraphane. Preferably, the composition is in the form of a low-volume, aqueous, after-alcohol drink, that can avoid some of the potentially adverse effects of previously-known anti-hangover preparations.

  • Publication number: 20180128246
Abstract: A wind turbine generator is disclosed. The wind turbine generator comprises a nacelle and rotor, and a tower between said nacelle and a foundation. The tower comprises an ultra-high performance fiber reinforced composite (UHPFRC) tower part extending from the foundation. The tower includes at least four tower segments arranged on top of each other to form a column, and pre-tensioning steel strands or bars for pre-tensioning the tower segments in a vertical direction. The UHPFRC tower part is made in a UHPFRC with a percentage of steel fibers per volume in the range of 0.5 to 9, such as 1 to 6, and preferably in the range of 2 to 4.

  • Publication number: 20060243471
Abstract: An elongated object for use in subsea having a heating pipe and an electrical cable fixed to the surface of the heating pipe. The electrical cable has a protective sleeving for surrounding the electrical cable, composed of a series of elongated synthetic plastics components arranged end-to-end. Each component is an extruded frame work type hollow profile suitable for slowing down the impact over a long deformation path. A hollow space is disposed between the electrical cable and the protective sleeving allowing the cable to move into the protective sleeving.
